This is a highly detailed kit complete with:Twin screw drive, including motors and props; two cast white metal gun kits; ABS manufactured hull; fully detailed deck; all necessary rigging; step by step instruction manual with full detailed plan sheets. Ideal as an introduction to the world of submarine building.Part No.: K20310CScale: 1:60Length: 1120mmBeam: 127mmKit Difficulty Rating: IntermediateThe U-Boat Type VII is probably the most well known submarine ever built. Over 1000 were built and used world wide and in its time it set many standards and became very successful. Its elegant and sleek lines make this an attractive model for either static display or a working model.A ballast tank is used to partially submerge the model then the model is dived by using the dive planes and forward speed. With this technique very true to scale diving manoeuvres are possible. Manufacturer: KrickModel / Part No: U-Boat Type VIIb (1:60 Scale)
Scale model of the type XXI submarine to 1:40 scale for dynamic divingThe U-boat U2540 was built at the Blohm und Voss yard in Hamburg in 1944, and the vessel was commissioned in January 1945. During the crew training phase in early May 1945 the boat was attacked by a British bomber off Fehmarn, and was eventually scuttled by the crew. By this point in history this was a typical fate of the last U-boats commissioned by the German War Navy. Many years later the infant Federal Republic of Germany had become a member of NATO, and was looking for a suitable vessel on which to base the submarines of the Federal Navy; this was when the fate of the U2540 was recalled: the boat which had lain on the bottom of the sea for 12 years. In 1957 she was raised, brought to Kiel and completely re-built. On 01.09.1960 the submarine was re-christened ´Wilhelm Bauer´, and was commissioned into the German Federal Navy. By Spring 1980 the submarine had completed a long period of service as a training and experimental vessel, and was finally retired. Since 1984 the ´Wilhelm Bauer´ has been an exhibit in the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven. The unusual history of U2540 illustrates just how advanced was the design of this U-boat type.Seldom have we received so many requests for a particular model from our dealers and model builders. The repeated appeal was for another submarine to the same scale as the U47. The robbe development team responded, and we can now offer our latest model U-boat: The Type XXI boat U2540Just like the legendary robbe U47, this model is capable of submerged running using the dynamic method of diving. The model is almost 2 metres long, and consists - like the U47 - of a foreship and aftership joined together by a central screwed joint. When the two parts are separated, the motors and RC equipment assembly can be withdrawn from the pressure vessel. This model also features pre-cut flooding slots to save the modeller the time-consuming task of drilling and/or machining the openings. In contrast to the U47 the forward hydroplanes are controlled by a servo, rather than mechanically by means of a paddle. As an option these forward hydroplanes can be folded in for surface running, just as on the full-size vessel. This is an imposing model which always attracts a large number of fascinated spectators.RC functions:Rudder, Forward hydroplanes, Aft hydroplanes, Motor control, Folding forward hydroplanesSpecification:Length: 1915 mmWidth: 210 mmHeight: 330 mmTotal displacement: 12000 g Manufacturer: RobbeModel: Robbe Submarine U2540 Typ Xxi (1-1214)
1: 40 scale dynamic-diving model of the German Federal Navy’s 212-class submarineWhen we decided it was time to produce a new model submarine, our development team selected the new, ultra-modern 212- class of the German Federal Navy as their prototype. The full-size boat:These subs were developed at the Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH (HDW) dockyard in Kiel. It is the world’s first submarine type to be equipped with a hybrid fuel cell power system. Basically the boat is propelled by an electric motor. For surface running the motor is powered by a diesel generator, but when the boat is submerged, electrical current is supplied by a hydrogen fuel cell system. U 31 was the first 212 A class to be built, and the vessel was launched in March 2002; this is the basis for our model. The model:Our model of the U 31 has been developed and built using proven methods of construction and pre-fabrication, i.e. the same methods used on the U 2540. However, the diameter of the pressure vessel has been increased by 35 mm in order to give the large hull the stiffness required. The pressure vessel is fitted with an internal multi-part CNC-machined installation frame, which houses all the essential RC and electrical system components. Just like the full-size sub, our model of the U31 features an ultra-modern power system: in this case a slow-rewing, high-torque brushless electric motor provides enormous thrust. With the kind approval and support of the Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH (HDW) of Kiel.Specification:Length: 1430 mmWidth: 180 mmHeight: 470 mmScale: 1:40Total displacement: 19000 gManufacturer: RobbeModel: Submarine U31 Class 212 (1-1215)
Scale model of a German U-boat to 1:40 scale, with dynamic diving systemfittings and electric motors includedDuring the development stage of our model of the U 47 we concentrated especially on maximum possible scale fidelity, and accurate reproduction of the detail features of the vessel. In spite of its impressive length of more than 1.7 m, the boat is highly manoeuvrable and has a good turn of speed. It features the dynamic method of submerging, and all these features make for a highly realistic model when in and under the water. An important feature of this imposing boat is the flooding slots in the outer skin, and these are factory-cut in order to shorten the building time. This eliminates the time-consuming work of drilling or machining these openings.Specification:Length: 1700 mmWidth: 160 mmScale: 1:40Total displacement: 8500 gManufacturer: RobbeModel: Robbe Submarine U 47 (1-1114)
THUNDER TIGER STATIC-DIVING SUBMARINEExperience the mysteries of the deep.......The NEPTUNE SB-1 is the first underwater RC model from Thunder Tiger. Equipped with high technology operating equipment in the inner hull tub, covered by the bright yellow outer hull, the SB-1 will let you enjoy the otherwise hidden wonders of the underwater world. Adopting a static diving system, operating the SB-1 is just like the real thing. The system is driven by a ballast tank with pump & motor unit. Start the pump to induct the water into the ballast tank. Control the amount of water in the ballast tank, the submarine can dive from the surface and stay underwater in static. Using the propulsion power unit and full elevator and rudder control, you can drive the submarine under water with ease.Equipped with an auto detect protection system, if the system detects low battery power, low transmisson signal or leakage, then the roll pump will auto start to flood the water out of the ballast tank and make the SB-1 float back to the surface.Install the optional digital camera and you can watch the amazing underwater scenes as well.Key Features:ABS Hull12V propulsion unitDual static & dynamic diving systemBallast tank with roll pump and motor drive systemFull elevator/rudder controlAuto detect protection systemBasic Specifications:Displacement: 7.7kg surface / 7.95kg submergedOverall length: 774mmBeam: 290mmDraft: 200mmHeight: 285mmMotor: 12vPropeller: 40mm pitch:41mmSpeed: 1.45knots surface / 1.08 knots submergedOperating diving depth: 5MMax. Model submarine with electric power and dynamic diving systemThe Sea-Wolf is the longest serving model in our submarine fleet. Introduced many years ago, it began a successful period of submarine modelling for us which has lasted right up to the present day. In 1998 it was followed by the legendary Type VII boat, the U-47, and finally by our largest model, the Type XXI boat, the U-2540.The Sea-Wolf is the ideal submarine for all modellers, from the ambitious beginner through the modeller interested in a change of direction to the expert and connoisseur. After all, it offers an attractive combination of impressive appearance, reasonable building time and a fair system price. We have now revised this model in a number of significant details, to make it an even more interesting proposition.New features of the robbe Seal Wolf V2:Central pressure vessel screw connection, externally accessible (no hull section removal required)Kit includes electric motor, suppressors and cablesKit includes Lead ballastRevised decal sheet with more comprehensive detailsFor additional information relating to the dynamic diving method, other models in the robbe submarine fleet etc., please refer to our current main catalogue.Only rudder and throttle functions are required for normal running and diving, which means that a two-channel system is sufficient. If a third channel is available, the hydroplanes can be controlled to over-ride the automatic depth system. This arrangement permits high-speed surface running and fast dives.Specification:Length: 900 mmWidth: 100 mmHeight: 320 mmTotal displacement: 4100 gManufacturer: RobbeModel: Robbe Submarine Seawolf V2 (1-1014)
