    The Revell Star Trek
    Maquis Fighter from the
    plastic Star Trek model
    range accurately
    recreates the spacecraft
    from the Star Trek
    Voyager science fiction
    series. This plastic Star
    Trek kit requires paint
    and glue to complete.
    Although the Cardassian
    War has ended the
    Cardassians still attack
    Federation outposts. Even
    though Star Fleet reacts
    to every notable
    aggression, some
    colonists have decided
    that in an emergency they
    will take the situation
    into their own hands.
    This group of resistance
    fighters call themselves
    "Maquis". They
    are freedom fighters,
    convinced that only there
    modus operandi can
    protect themselves and
    their relatives from the
    Cardassian aggressors.
    Some of them are Star
    Fleet officers who have
    resigned their
    commission, resigned
    from the Academy or have
    been dismissed by Star
    Fleet. Star Fleet sent
    the Voyager to find a
    Maquis ship of the
    Peregrine Class named Val
    Jean. The vessel is a
    Raider. The relatively
    small Raiders are noted
    for their speed but are
    not heavily armed. The
    Val Jean finds itself in
    a unusual region of
    space, the so called
    "Badlands", as
    it as the Voyager also
    are transported by a
    transition wave to the
    remote Delta Quadrants.
    During a Kazon attack,
    the Val Jean is
    sacrificed In order to
    protect the Voyager. The
    crew of the Maquis vessel
    were however previously
    transferred to the
    Voyager. Both crewsdecide
    to strike an alliance,
    which neither really
    relishes but is however
    necessary in order to
    increase the chances of
    survival on the long
    journey back to
    Federation Space.
