'Solid' doesn't quite
seem enough to describe
one of our Sleeper Coffee
Tables... if you want a
slab of industrial/rustic
chic in front of your
sofa, that will take
everything you can throw
at it, while looking
better and better the
more use it gets, look
no further! Made from
unseasoned 'green' solid
oak, with all the
natural features, splits
and markings intact. The
timber may shrink
slightly and develop
small splits as it dries:
oak for internal use is
normally kiln-dried to
make it more stable for
this reason. We apply
coats of danish oil,
which add some
waterproofing and colour
protection, but
eventually the timber
will weather naturally.
As this is such a heavy
item, it is designed as
four separate parts that
just need to be slotted
together for assembly. It
is wrapped as three
separate parcels for
delivery for ease of
handling. Whenever
possible, we source our
wood from industrial
offcuts, excess stocks
and reclaim sources in
the UK. All solid timber
can change as it ages,
and you should protect
your product from
constant changes in
temperature and
humidity. Please note
that the colour and
figuring of wood varies
quite a lot, and even
similar pieces can
develop differently
during oiling. The images
should therefore be used
as a guide only: the
finish you receive may be
a little lighter or
darker

There is something very
otherworldly about the
dot stool which gives it
a lot of character. The
overall shape is somewhat
familiar; like a basket
from a Middle-Eastern
bazaar, yet slightly
alien given its
composition and overall
appearance. Made from
hundreds of musket-sized
iron spheres and coated
in bright white epoxy
paint it has a very
organic prolate spheroid
shape, much like an egg
with a flattened top and

This coffee table
footstool measures approx
100 x 50 cms and stands

has been reupholstered
with a recycled coffee
sack from El
Salvador. The sacking
works really well with
wood. It's very easy on
the eye, and also really
hardwearing if you have
children or dogs. The
printed black lettering
would work really well in
an industrial style

Parisian flea market one
Sunday morning. We
brought it back to life

after my better half
purchased one for our
home a number of years

Our Rustic Coffee Table
is a beautifully simple
and natural piece of
furniture Solid, sturdy
and hard-wearing but
retaining charm and
character due to its
natural look and
finish Crafted from
Canadian Pine, actually
categorised as a soft
wood, but a wood which
produces a much closer
grain and therefore a
denser wood. This is a
result of the slow growth
brought about by the
Canadian climate. We use
this timber as it has far
more character and better
qualities than the
European pines typically
used in most high street
pine furniture. Once
our Rustic pieces are
built we don't sand the
wood back, remove knots
or fill holes. We believe
in the natural beauty of
the wood, hence the
title Rustic. In this way
each piece is unique and
tells its own story. This
ethos carries through to
saw marks or strap marks
appearing on the wood
created by the
traditional methods used
when felling and drying
the timber. All are part
of the character of the
