The French Country Console Table is a cornerstone of the French Country collection. I must confess to a time when I did not fully understand the concept or necessity for a console table. I have however since seen the light after my better half purchased one for our home a number of years ago & now they are one of my favourite pieces & invariably Orchard bestsellers. A console table can complete a space, particularly a hallway or passageway through a home. A place to display flowers or a photograph, a treasured memento or an interesting artefact. It breaks up the space, & introduces depth without taking up a lot of space. On a more practical level they are great to locate the telephone, or sets of keys & other essentials as you enter & exit your home. Our French Country styled Console Table offers all of this bundled up in a simple, elegant little package. When teamed up with the co-ordinating French Country Hall mirror which has been designed to sit atop this console you will have a striking & practical addition to your home (see additional images). Handcrafted using sustainably sourced timber from managed forests & individual reclaimed boards which form the table top. The table tops are wax treated to enhance the splendour of the natural grain whilst also adding a resilient protective coating. The body of the table is brush painted, several coats are applied to create a textured, low sheen finish complete with visual brush marks & imperfections for a slightly rustic look & feel. The console table will require some basic assembly using a screw pozidriv screwdriver (not provided).
