Here you have the
opportunity to own
something quite unique. I
have reupholstered 4
1950s kitchen diner style
chairs, using
traditional wax printed
African fabric, each one
in a different colour
scheme. The standard of
upholstery is second to
none, neat and tawt,
with contrasting coloured
piping on the back rest
of each chair. I think
that vintage/retro
furniture works really
well with African design
and these chairs look
extremely stylish. I've
left the metal frame of
the chairs untreated,
there is some rust and
some worn off paint, but
I think this is part of
its charm, and I decided
that to paint the frame
would not improve the
overall look. I'm a
designer upholsterer
based in Leeds, with 12
years experience in
upholstery. These chairs
are totally unique, and
would add real impact to
your kitchen or dining
room.

“Fantastic Plastic
Elastic” is the name
behind the initials of
this chair, whose
primary characteristic is
its soft and sinuous
formal effect. It is
fantastic due to its
exclusive technology
which allows the
creation of a robust but
elastic structure by
fixing a single plate of
curved plastic onto two
parallel aluminium tubes.
The seat/backrest body is
grafted onto the
supporting aluminium
structure, giving the
chair both resistance and
flexibility as well as
lightness and

This is a beautiful and
unique, antique French
Bridge chair, that has

vintage French grain
sack. The sacks come
from a derelict flour
mill in the south west of
France, that closed 20
years ago. The word
"meunier" means
"miller" The sacks have
nicely faded printing on
them with the name of the
mill owner Edouard
Sebastia. The woodwork
of the chair has been
given a good polish with
wax. The sacking works
really well with wood.
It's very easy on the
eye, and also really
