Salomon are well known in the ski industry for producing solid dependable skis that are powerful and versatile yet still easy to ski on. For the 2015 season they do not disappoint. They have split their skis up into different categories to make things easier with their All mountain frontside (piste orientated) skis falling into their X-series range, while the backside range becoming part of their Quest category. Still utilizing their popular X-Chassis on a number of skis in their X-series range this diagonal carbon reinforcement placed mid ski adds torsional stiffness for great edge grip and stability, they use this with RKS rocker stabilization to really lock in the tips of the ski and this offers really easy turn initiation. On their quest range they use many of these ideas from their piste side, yet incorporate the honeycomb tip to reduce the swing weight along with utility rocker for optimum flotation and control with excellent terrain absorption. The X-drive 8.0 FS uses a combination of on-piste precision and manoeuvrability like never before. The carbon X-Chassis and RKS strategically reinforces the lightweight construction of the X-Drive 8.0 FS, while all-terrain rocker 2.0 adds a whole new level of versatility to this high performance all mountain carver. Ski Specification Geometry: 125.2mm/80mm/110mm for 175cm length Turn Radius: 15.9 Metres for 175cm length Terrain: All Condition Core Material: light density Full Woodcore. This ski comes with a single layer of titanium that offers great edge grip and a fun solid performance. We found this really quick on piste and offered the really solid feel that is so noticeable with Salmon’s all mountain range. It is not an ‘all mountain’ ski but one that sits very well in the ‘all conditions category. Is this for me? This would be aimed at the good intermediate to advanced skiers who are a good skier and want something slightly heavier that cuts through the crud and crust really well. Great for the piste skier who want to ski hard and fast, but have enough width underfoot to cope when there is some new snow on top.

A slightly more forgiving version of their very popular Atomic Blackeye Ti, great performance and stability at a competitive price. We have really expanded our Atomic range of goods this season and it is easy to see why. They offer some great value, high tech goods that perfectly match the conditions that they are designed to cope with. They stand by their core values of Meaningful innovation, this season that includes utilizing the ARC technology across their whole all mountain range, their new HRZN tech for the freeski side and the double deck and new Ramp for racing. Also they offer progressive performance, really pushing the sport forward and expanding the boundaries of what is possible and finally offering style with substance. They know what goes into a ski is the most important thing, but they make sure that their style gurus make this look good for the user when out on the mountain. The atomic nomad series are on one of Atomics’ best sellers and with the addition of ARC technology they have become even more popular. They are perfect for people who ski mostly on piste, but who also like to venture off the side into softer snow. With all mountain flex and step down sidewall 2.0 they take all snow conditions in their stride, While ARC Technology frees the ski to flex naturally for a smooth, natural ride. Atomic’s ARC technology uses only one mounting point in the centre of the ski. Because your entire power is concentrated in that single point – the anchor point – the ski is able to flex easily and naturally, just like a bow. The free-floating deck between the boot and ski supports that natural flex. This makes the ski stay in contact with the ground. The result is perfect traction and smooth natural rides with less effort, whatever the snow conditions. The Blackeye was redesigned last season and offers some amazing all-mountain performance. This ski excels on prepared terrain thanks to the new ARC Technology. The advantage is that the ski remains in contact with the ground at all times whatever the snow conditions, thereby increasing traction and making it easier to control the ski. Plus the Step Down Sidewall 2.0 improves grip on compact snow, while a composite core offers a really nice lightweight feel and softer more forgiving flex. Off-piste the All Mountain Rocker and 81 mm waist width maximize the versatility and manoeuvrability of the Nomad Blackeye. Ski Specification Geometry: 129mm/81mm/109mm for 174cm length Turn Radius: 15 Metres for 174cm length Terrain: All conditions Core Material: Composite Camber/Rocker: All Mountain Rocker (85% camber / 15% tip rocker) Technology: Stepdown Sidewall / ARC Technology Weight: 2kg (174cm) per ski Bindings: Atomic XTO 10 Ski Profile Skier Level: For intermediate to advanced skiers Snow Conditions: All Conditions Snow Terrain: On Piste, Light Off-Piste Really good ski for an early intermediate skier or somebody who does not want anything too stiff but would like a great all rounder that will cope with varied terrain and cruising around Is this for me? This is a great ski for somebody who has started on the reds and may the occasional black, but does not want to do 100mph all the time and would like to ski
The award winning MX83 by Kastle is a a superb all conditions carving ski capable of everything you can throw at it. The MX83 comes with K12 Cti Bindings and features Kastles Hollowtech nose technology. With the help of the HOLLOWTECH technology the ski‘s running characteristics is improved. The cutout section in the shovel leads to a reduced weight of the freely vibrating zone by almost 15 %. The resulting lower inertia moments optimize the retraction behavior of the ski. This means that after an impact the shovel returns much faster to the stable condition, enabling the ski to keep its track much more precisely. Sporty and agile turns are effortless with ELIPTICAL RADIUS. A narrower shovel radius allows for progressive and powerful steering. Only 5–7 cm behind the contact point the sidecut merges with the shovel shape. Stability and power converge in the MX88. Wood core: A mix of Ash and Silver Fir in the classic sandwich construction provides the ideal balance between weight and stability. SPECIFICATION Geometry: 125mm-83mm-109mm Turn Radius: 15.5m at 163cm Terrain: All Mountain Weight: 3500g / Pair @ 163cm Core Material: Titanal sandwiched Silver Fir/ Ash Woodcore Camber/Rocker: Full Camber Technology: Fast Grip Shovel and tail, Hollowtech, Elliptical Radius Bindings: Tyrolia K12cti SKIER PROFILE Snow Conditions: All snow conditions from groomed pistes to early morning ice Skier Level: Advanced skiers and experts Ski Terrain: For fast all conditions skiing and light powder off the sides This ski is an ideal 70/30 ski, it is super versatile and can be ridden hard and fast or just cruised around on. I would aim it at a upper inter/advance level skier buying their first mid fat ski a dabbling in different terrains.
The name says it all for this ski, designed for fast aggressive charging on piste this remains nimble and highly responsive allowing you to lay down flawless turns. We have stocked K2 since we started the business and with the range and quality of their skis it is easy to see why. Speak to any staff member and they own or would like to own at least one pair from the K2 range. This year K2 have kept their range of skis the same, but have concentrated on improving performance. They have done this by using a new comprehensive build process where a skis top shape is redesigned to complement the side profile along the entire ski. They have called this ‘Baseline 2.0’ and K2 has managed to engineer skis for varied skier types and even different styles of skiing, while also finely tuning them for a specific snow condition. For the Charger skis this season K2 have added the new Marker binding which utilizes the MX-cell technology. This features toe and heel technologies that focus on increased power transmission, the revolutionary XCell Piston technology in the toe piece keeps the boot catered during quick jolts and provides more precision and control in the centred position The Chargers are also using the Baseline2 Precision Piste construction. This uses a blunt round tip with a short abrupt rise to help maximise the skis running surface and extends the sidecut all the way to the tip, helping to drive the ski into the turn. This combined with the speed rocker provides effortless precision and agility. Mid-body the skis have a narrow waist and deep sidecut for quick transition form edge to edge and unshakeable hold for hard snow carving. They also have the highest amount of camber for optimal rebound, power and liveliness. Finally the blunt square tails extend the sidecut into the tail for hold throughout the entire turn. Ski Specification Geometry: 122mm/74mm/106mm for 170cm length Turn Radius: 17 Metres for 179cm length Terrain: Piste Core Material: Aspin / Paulownia Camber/Rocker: Speed Rocker Technology: Speed ROX / Metal Laminate / Hybritech sidewall / carbon web Bindings: Marker MXCell 12 TCx SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: Piste / Hardpack and Ice Ski Terrain: Piste Skier Level: Advanced to Expert As a piste skis the K2 Charger is always a firm favourite here at Edge and Wax. This year with the added MXCell binding this ski still offers the amazing performance that we have become used to, but even great power down into the ski through the binding. This really excelled when conditions get a bit chopped up and this will blast through whatever is in its way. A really good solid fun ski. Is this for me? For the advanced to expert skiers who are looking for a stiff aggressive piste ski to really carve up the mountain. This ski is at its best when at higher speeds and offers amazing edge hold and grip all the way through the turn. If you would like something a little more versatile then it would be worth looking at the AMP 82XTI, but if you will just be sticking to piste then this is a great option.
The all new Powertack 79 blends the latest geometry of the Cham series skis produce a versatile all-mountain option. At 79mm underfoot this is a great all conditions ski with the ability to venture into powder when conditions are perfect. The Powertrack range features the nose and tail profile of the freeride Cham range, to give even easier turn initiation and exit, and making the skis adaptable across all conditions. Combining the best elements of all-mountain and freeride ski design, the Powertrack 79 is the perfect ski for the adventurous beginner through to intermediate skier. This potential ‘one-quiver’ ski features a huge sweet spot, for balanced control across all terrains and snow conditions. A moderate tip and tail rocker provides effortless balance, float and control through variable snow, whilst the traditional camber underfoot retains the power and edge hold for hard snow carving conditions. A progressive five-point side-cut borrowed from the successful Cham range allows for powerful carving turns that engage quickly and smoothly, and release with ease in all snow conditions, providing a confidence inspiring consistent feel and control that sets a new standard in all-mountain skis. With equal parts of power and playfulness, manoeuvrability and control, the Powertrack 79 delivers the well-rounded, freeride-inspired performance that allows you to make the whole of the mountain your playground. Ski Specification Geometry: 122mm/79mm/103mm Turn Radius: 14 Metres for 173cm length Terrain: All-Conditions, Light All-Mountain Core Material: Composite with Fibre Camber/Rocker: Tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot Technology: Powertrack Profile with 5-Point sidecut, partial sidewalls Bindings: Look Xpress 10 B83 Skier Profile Skier Level: Beginners through to progressing intermediates Skier Energy: For all levels, from cruisers to more aggressive skiers Snow Conditions: All snow conditions Snow Terrain: Piste skiing, light off piste all-mountain skiing This was really good fun both on and off the piste, and surprisingly good for it’s width. Straight line stability at higher speeds due to the forgiveness are its only weaker area (Although I was going very fast!), but more than made up for when doing long radius carving turns where the ski is super stable.” Is this for me? With the"ed large ‘sweet spot’ in evidence this suits a progressing beginner and intermediate skier looking for a one quiver ski that will spend at least 60% of its time on the piste but has more than enough to take off piste when conditions are good.

Aspen/Paulownia core Bindings: Not included. See Binding offers below. Features: Core: Aspen is both solid and dense and is known for its inherent strength and durability. Paulownia is an eco-friendly, fast growing renewable wood that is incredibly strong and lightweight. Integrated Hub Technology: Titanal hubs are imbedded into the core of the ski for the most direct transmission of power. The system hubs are functionally wider with a 50mm footprint, which decreases the distance between the binding and the edge of the ski for added performance. Mod Technology: high-Performance Suspension System Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. The men’s Mod structure is more X-Shaped, distributing mass to the perimeter for increased edge-hold. Mod Monic: A Focused Mass Dampener; The Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at the targeted location. The men’s Mod Monic is slightly heavier and X-Shaped to further complement the Mod structure form. Metal Laminate: Built with two sheets of lightweight Tiitanal running the length of the ski, metal-laminate skies are the highest performing and most complex construction available from K2. Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fibreglass and Titanal above and below the wood core. Metal-laminates provides dampened, accurate, unshakable performance ideal for expert-level skiers. Hybritech Sidewalls: Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap contractions. The construction combines the accuracy, power and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction. Progressive Sidecut: Progressive sidecut is a combination of two different radii, or sidecuts, that enhance the versatility of wider-waist skis. Standard sidecut theory is based on using a single radius. This works well on narrower skis, but becomes overpowering on wider skis, especially in variable conditions, The use of progressive sidecut on wider-waist skis guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance. Lightweight, smooth, easy-going and efficient. The LX82 is incredibly easy to ski yet remains stiff and quick on piste. Kastle is a speciality ski manufacturer from Austria founded in 1924. Although not considered one of the major brands here in the UK if you head across to the Alps you will see a large number of these, and they are increasingly becoming popular by those that have found out Kastle’s well-constructed, stable, agile and incredibly versatile range of skis. One of Kastle’s main technological advantages is their patented hollowtech design system. This has been developed over the last 30yrs and means that the tip of each ski has oval-shaped cut-outs, leaving just a layer of opaque fibreglass this reduces the weight of each ski shovel by up to 15 percent. The decrease in mass helps the ski minimize vibrations and hold an edge more precisely. This coupled with using only the latest and best materials to construct their cores and their timeless clean graphics means that Kastle’s dedication to producing some of the world’s best skis will carry on for another season. The LX range from Kastle utilizes a lighter weight wood core and so is idea for women or slightly lighter or less aggressive male skiers, who want all the benefits that you would get from the Kastle MX range, but without the weight. These skis have been popular for a number of seasons now and have won many awards, mainly thanks to the easy handling and sporty nature of this all mountain ski. Ski Features Hollowtech: This is Kastle’s proprietary Hollowtech technology ensures a smooth ride and consistent edge tracking. Hollowtech is the evolution of a 30-year-old Kastle innovation. The tip of each ski has oval-shaped cut-outs, leaving just a layer of opaque fibreglass. Hollowtech reduces the weight of each ski shovel by up to 15 percent. The decrease in mass helps the ski minimize vibrations and hold an edge more precisely. The 2014/15 Kastle ski line feature more Hollowtech than ever: The investment into new heaving stamping machinery allows a 10% larger and lighter Hollowtech for the MX88 and MX83. Bigger volume Hollowtech create even greater weight savings on the new TX97 and TX107 touring skins. LX: The LX range offers a lightweight feel with uncompromising performance. These skis feel agile, confidence inspiring and are incredibly easy to ski on. Fast Grip shovel and tail: This means that the widest point at the tip and tail of the ski is just further forward than the contact point. This allows easy turn initiation, but as soon as you put them on edge then will take to the turn and initiate the carve. Waist 82 mm: Outstanding handling characteristics especially in variable, steep slope conditions as well as in powder. Ski geometry: The single radius masters varying conditions and difficult terrains. The harmonious sidecut enables a smooth and exceptional ride. Wood core: Silver fir (~0.55 kg/dm³) has been used for the wood core, providing the ski with a very low weight. In order to combine a comfortable longitudinal flex design with high torsional rigidity, the traditional sandwich core concept has been reinforced with a structural element. This wood core, in combination with titanal sheeting, allows perfect harmonization of vibrations and flexing characteristics. the supporting cap from various fibreglass sheets acts like a torsional box, equipping the ski with high torsional rigidity Features: By using a 0.5 mm titanal base and top sheet high stability is achieved for on-piste performance. Jossi Wells approached Atomic with an idea; bring together a group of skiers with different styles, different perspectives on skiing and show them creating something new. This initial idea blossomed into something bigger, something that transcended the typical discussion about progression and brought skiing back to its roots. From this conversation the Infamous was born... “There is a lot of division in the ski world, especially among park skiers. What I wanted to do with this project is show the basic values that all skiers can relate to. These are the reasons we fall in love with skiing. For us the infamous is about sessioning with a crew and pushing yourself and your friends to do something new. This means having fun on skis and expressing your own style.” – Jossi Wells. Atomic ran with that idea and worked closely with Jossi to build a ski in his vision, something accessible, inspiring confidence, with the required soft flex and rocker to get creative in the park. Taking this inspiration into the graphics, Jossi worked closely with a designer to set the mood for the ski graphics and the project. From the spring of 2012 Jossi has been shredding on the infamous, the ski inspired by his skiing. The ski behind the movement. Soft flexing, stable, yet playful. Inspired by Jossi and repped by the infamous squad. The RTM 81 width XTD Sensor Woodcore closes the gap between the RTM 84 and the 80. 126mm at the shovel and 81mm across the waist let this ski unfold its full potential, especially on long, fast turns on the groomed terrain. Ride The Mountain ski constructions are harmonized to different ability levels, skiers ranging from beginner to pros can all find their perfect counterpart. The RTM 81 model has a moderate full rocker, which makes it unbelievably agile on and off the piste. The RTM nevertheless deliver extreme control, even at higher speed ranges. Thanks to the outstanding power transfer of the iPT Wideride binding, the extra width remains nimble and precise yet offer more flotation for transitional snow and the side country. The XTD Transmission Sidewall is reinforcement belts aligned to channel stress toward the outside of the ski. This works with the sidewall construction to prevent chatter and ensure that the necessary pressure is applied to the edges at high speeds. This is paired with an extra wide titanium reinforcement above the ski deck. Created in a complex CNC milling process, the Extended Sensorwood Core is extended upward and lengthwise, milled to form the chambers of the Dual XTD Transmission construction. The material is a blend of poplar and beech wood, and is found in Volkls highest performing models. This ski is built for fast piste skiing, however because of the 81mm width and the full rocker profile it will plough through all of the conditions you are likely to come across in the mountains. It is aimed at an advanced to expert level skier, someone who has the ability to push to get the best from the ski, but if you are that skier then you will have some fun.
Responsive, versatile and fun this ski is great for the intermediate skiers looking for a good solid ski that offers great precision and power thanks to the new XX-Chassis and full wood core Salomon are well known in the ski industry for producing solid dependable skis that are powerful and versatile yet still easy to ski on. For the 2015 season they do not disappoint. They have split their skis up into different categories to make things easier with their All mountain front side (piste orientated) skis falling into their X-series range, while the backside range becoming part of their Quest category. The X-dive 80 Ti offers more power and precision than the standard X-drive 80 and is built on the same versatile platform, however on this ski they have added a carbon X-Chassis, a Woodcore and a double Ti laminate that pretty much supercharges this ski and offers increased stability, control and responsiveness. K2 have revamped there all-mountain and Freeride collections. They have slimmed down their range making ski selection much easier and have focussed on building a versatile range designed to encounter a variety of conditions and terrain. They have skis that offer skiers the option to select a model that matches their individual style and where they ski on the mountain whilst not becoming confusing. For 2013/14 they have been working hard with their professional athletes to really push the boundaries of the sport and have increased the use of their ROX technology, and have created a all-Terrain RoX variation and women specific for unmatched performance in any condition found in resort. This integrates their X shaped mod structure with a carbon web, offering unshakable hold and effortless turn. With K2 combining these new technologies with their proven Triaxial Braid and Hybritech sidewalls you are now getting the best technologies integrated into skis that offer great response and superb edge hold on a stylish and versatile ski. The Annex range of skis for K2 incorporate the 98, 108 and 118mm waists and this range fall into the Freeride directional category. Incredibly versatile these would appeal to any seasonnaires or seasoned professional looking for a great one ski quiver. Seth Morrison continues to push big mountain skiing with this pow-slaying, hard charging fall line machine. The new design is built to specifically meet Seth’s demands for stability and control. The Annex 118 incorporates a new tip profile that initiates more predictability in erratic snow, and the tail rocker/kick tail releases easily in narrow, concave chutes. SPECIFICATION Sidecut: 147mm-118mm-135mm Radius: 26 Metres (For 181cm Length) Base Profile: Powder Rocker Ski Core: Aspen/Fir/Maple Bindings: Ski Only Features and benefits Z-Clip skin compatible These are holes at the tip and tail to allow for easy fitting of pre-cut skins designed specifically for these skis. The skis come with Skin Grommets, these are a clean and simple design that no longer requires a plug. Kick Tail This is a slightly lifted tail, allowing for easy turning in deep powder and quick release out of the turn when in tight situations. Powder Tip The widest point of a powder tip is 7cm back from the standard contact point. The design adds stability and predictability while skiing and is less likely to hook or grab in light crusts or variable conditions. Powder Rocker This tip has the most elevation and longest measurement of Rocker and offers skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft-snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge-hold on firmer conditions. Simply put, Powder Rocker provides unmatched flotation in deep snow. Aspen/Fir/Maple Ski Core K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound and a liveliness only found in wood core skis, utilizing Aspen and Fir and maple allows them to offer great rebound and power through the whole ski, driving powder to the edges and producing a strong aggressive powerhouse. A real weapon in K2’s all mountain ski and a true cross over between ‘all mountain’ their ‘freeride’ skis this is stiff, aggressive and great fun. The K2 AMP 90XTI has inherited a split personality from two different categories, the popular Rictor takes on a wide 90mm waist to bridge All-Mountain performance with hard-charging Freeride Skis. These skis use K2’s All mountain baseline2 technology. These feature a shorter, round tip for predictable turn initiation, the tip ride is traditional, but when combined with All-Terrain Rocker it becomes even more versatile in all snow conditions. Underfoot the skis boast a moderate sidecut that delivers stability and bigger sweet sports in all turns shapes whilst the tail are blunt and round creating a predictable turn release. These skis have flat tails with camber extending right into the tail to offer great rebound. This would really suit a ski professional, ie. An instructor or liftie This was a new ski for last season and was one of my personal favourites when out on the ski test. The Rictor has been around for a number of seasons but they have been overhauled and just get better and better. This is stiff and so you have to work this slightly harder if taking if off piste and I really don’t want to use the word versatile as it is overused in the ski industry so i will say that this is extremely ‘multifunctional’ this ski really will excel no matter what is thrown at it. Is this for me? For the expert skier who enjoys fast aggressive skiing but would like the width to go off the sides or cope when there is a fresh dump. As harry says above it needs to be skied, but you can relax a bit towards the end of the day and still get down the mountain, it will just be at its best when laying down long sweeping turns on fresh corduroy, cutting through chopped up cruddy snow or venturing off the side to explore what the mountain has to offer.
A perfect ski for the frontside hard snow performance serving up super edge grip and control. This ski is quick nimble and extremely responsive for the advanced skiers. Blizzard are a relatively new brand for us with last season being the first season that we stocked their range, however, having had the chance to get out on them at the ski test they are already a firm favourite of many of the staff and offer some great performing skis that sold really well and gained great feedback from our regular customers. Although not as well known here in the UK as some other brands, Blizzard have utilized their flip core technology that gives them a great fun feel whilst still offering great edge hold. The X-power 810 offers a width to sit up if there is some new snow on the ground, however it comes into its own when put hard on edge and used to carve up the mountain. The tip and tail rocker make the skis super easy to handle whilst the IQ system enhances power transmission while reducing vibrations and fatigue... This ski felt really solid and offered great edge hold, especially at high speeds. It felt very powerful and cut through crud and chopped up snow really well. It has quite a long turning radius and so is ideal if you like putting your ski on edge and putting in long sweeping turns down wide open pistes. Requires a bit of work to get the best out of it but if you are prepared to ski it hard then it will reward you with a smooth, natural feel that will result in you getting to the bottom with a big grin over your face and time to have a beer while you wait for everyone to make their own, slow, way down! Is this for me? For the advanced to expert skier who is looking for a solid, strong and responsive piste ski for tearing up the hardpack. This is 81 underfoot and so will cope if cutting between runs, however it is not designed for new snow and will want you to get back on the piste and carving. A really nice ski to progress onto as you develop your skiing and want to take your performance to the next step.
The new Head Collective 105 is an All-Mountain Freeride ski featuring Head’s new TTS Tip and Tail Stabiliser System for supreme float and control when off the sides. 105mm underfoot, the ski gives tonnes of float in powder and yet with ABS Sidewalls and a 60% camber underfoot can still tear up the pistes. This exo-skeleton tip and tail reduces swing weight and vibration whilst creating better pressure distribution on turn entry and exit. FEATURES AND BENEFITS TTS is a stabilising exoskeleton which dampens the vibrations normally felt from rockered tips and tails also reducing the overall swing weight, and creates a ski with a playful yet high level of performance. The system is comprised of an elastomeric inlay for vibration control, as well as a glass fibre exoskeleton for stability and torsional strength. This combination not only reduced vibrations but creates better pressure distribution upon entry and exit of your turns, by minimising lateral flex of the skis. Reducing overall vibration means better edge control and therefore increases overall skiing performance. In addition, the reduction of core materials in the tip and tail has created a reduced swing weight for easier handling and manoeuvrability both on snow and in the air. AllRide Rocker - Head place highly targeted amount of rocker in each model to ensure maximum performance for all ability levels. Steering is easier for all skiers and soft snow versatility is enhanced. 20% rocker - 80% camber. A Sandwich Cap construction incorporates a traditional wood core and sidewall construction with an outer cap layer, for a blend of responsiveness and durability. Tuffwalls are impact resistant ABS Sidewalls, which maintain responsiveness but can also take a beating whilst offering a little damping too. ISS – Independent Suspension System, is a construction throughout the ski with damping at key points for a smoother ride when the going is chopped up underfoot. The Collective feels super smooth underfoot, whether in the powder or on the piste which is where full rocker skis can sometimes feel a bit ‘firm’. By keeping some camber, and with the damping system, this ski feels super smooth on and off the piste, and is a real eye-catching ski too! Very light for a 105mm ski thanks to those tips and tails.

SCOTT’s “SUV” - Snow Utility Vehicle The Reverse is ideal for the advanced skier looking for a ski that offers precise edge control and performance on the groomers, while still performing in mixed conditions. SCOTTs proven Venturi construction and Dual Radius shape allow for excellent versatility and two layers of Titanal create a stable ride and powerful flex. Features & Benefits Venturi-Tip Rocker Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed shape with a rocker tip. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design effectively decreases the skis surface pressure in deep snow, while Rocker allows the tip to be elevated to the surface, yielding a highly versatile performer in both deep snow and variable conditions. The Venturi-Tip Rocker is available in three sizes: S, M, L Sandwich Sidewall Construction with double Titanal Performance & Agility - The classic sandwich sidewall is paired with a titanal top and bottom sheet, providing exceptional power and rebound. The semi-cap finish protects the top sheet, guaranteeing maximum durability. Venturi Tip & Tail The Venturi Tip & Tail is a new geometry that allows skis to float freely when initiating and completing turns. SCOTT skis with Venturi Tip & Tail construction are more lively and less sluggish off piste and in deep snow. Dual Radius Traditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. SCOTT skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating the Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, resulting in a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain. Pre Track When developing Pre-Track, SCOTT designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. With Pre-Track, SCOTT skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski. Factory Finish SCOTT skis come direct from the factory ready to ski with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. SPECIFICATION Sidecut: 125mm-80mm-109mm Radius: 17 Metres (For 177cm Length) Base Profile: All Terrain Rocker Ski Core: Fir/Aspen Bindings: Marker M2 10.0 integrated binding system (Please not these differ slightly from those in the image) FEATURES AND BENEFITS MOD Suspension Added on top of the skis primary core is a secondary core, called the MOD structure that essentially acts on its own as a suspension system quieting the ride of the ski. The key is that this secondary core acts independently from the primary core, so it does not affect the overall flex of the ski. Progressive sidecut Progressive Sidecut provides wider waist skis with more versatility to be used in all conditions. Sidecut progressively increases as you move up the length of the ski from the tail to the tip. This provides confident and quick initiation on hard snow, while allowing easy release in powder and crud Carbon Web A raised X-shaped pattern has been added to specific regions of the MOD structure to create a structural shape to support a Carbon Web. This X-shaped carbon support is furthest from the core to increase torsional rigidity for greater edge hold and grip. This layer works independently of the primary core so the overall longitudinal flex is unchanged All Terrain RoX By focusing on the advantages of Rocker, in combination with an X-shaped Mod structure and carbon web, K2 has developed RoX technology, a new standard for high-performance ski design with unshakeable hold and effortless turn initiation.. All Terrain Rocker Designed for all ability levels with added versatility and ease in all snow conditions. All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy and edge-hold in firmer conditions. Fir/Aspen Core K2 uses a variety of wood cores for energy, rebound and a liveliness only found in wood core skis, utilizing Aspen and Fir you get a heavier more powerful ski, whilst still offering great rebound and a lively nature. Hardpack has never felt so smooth. Eliminate the chatter with the full length shock wall and push the speed dial to 11 because this ski rips. The catalyst behind Line’s creation and their mission still today is the simple concept that a skier needs innovative product to progress their riding and the sport. Line skis have been around since 1995, so are considered relatively new to the sport, but they were the ones that revolutionised the skiing industry and their input and design has led to the fat, powder skis that you see around resort today with their large sidecuts and twin tip design allowing skiers to really push the boundaries of where skiing can go. Although Line skis were initially known as the leaders in the freestyle park scene, they have not been timid about bringing creativity and ingenuity to the big mountain scene. Since creating the ‘Mothership’ by gluing two ski cores together and using snowboard width materials in the early 2000’s Line have expanded their focus on creating some of the most progressive big mountain and powder skis that today win top awards by even the most conservative of ski magazines. Measuring 75mm across the waist, the slender but snappy tip rocker ski with dual woodcore is a real all-round talent on groomed terrain. Ride the Mountain ski constructions are harmonized to different ability levels, skiers ranging from beginner to pros can all find their perfect counterpart. The RTM 75is Features a tip rocker profile, this means that the variable edge length at the shovel makes the ski much easier to turn. It has a cambered area underneath the foot and at the tail, this provides control and support for novices and intermediates. 4Motion binding is yet another example of creating the perfect setup for each target group. It was developed for the mid-range skis in the RTM series. The rails are set farther apart for optimum power transmission. The Triple Pivot Compact toe is shared by Marker’s well-known Squire binding, and is combined with either a TwinCam heel or Comfort heel. The dual woodcore RTM 75is version has a unique 3D design which stabilizes the front of the ski body and transmits forces toward the ski’s centre for a comfortable ride. As the name suggests, The Dual Wood Core consists of parallel strips of wood surrounded by PU. Featured in the XTD Progressive construction, it is layered with extra glass sheets top and bottom for added ski rebound. For a tip rocker construction this translates into the stability needed for higher speeds without making turns any less gentle to initiate. At the end of the turn the classically cambered tail provides a clean arc for the curve to follow. The SENSOR models are coincidentally also produced based on this construction principle. You get allot of ski for your money, the ski is aimed at an intermediate level skier but an advanced skier that is perhaps not skiing hard and fast all day will ride this happily. It has very good edge hold and feels super stable. I was very impressed with the performance of this ski. Is this for me? This ski is a really good intermediate/ relaxed advanced level ski, for the price its performance is incredible. It is a frontside ski, so skiing off the sides won’t really suit it but you will be having so much fun on the piste it won’t matter. If you are into charging reds/blues and the occasional black or just comfortable cruising around the mountain this is very nice ski for the job.

Atomics most popular ski, offering great edge hold, easy turn initiation and smooth performance all over the mountain. The Blackeye Ti all-mountain performance ski excels on prepared terrain thanks to the new ARC Technology. The advantage is that the ski remains in contact with the ground at all times whatever the snow conditions, thereby increasing traction and making it easier to control the ski. Plus the Step Down Sidewall 2.0 improves grip on compact snow, while a wood core and titanium inserts keep the ski smooth and stable. Off-piste the All Mountain Rocker and 81 mm waist width maximize the versatility and manoeuvrability of the Nomad Blackeye Ti. The MX78 uses key techology and design from the RX racing series skis, and brings them under the feet of us mere mortals! The MX78 is a perfect front-side all conditions piste ski for those trying to make perfect carving turns. One of the Kastle MX78 main technological advantages is their patented Hollowtech design system. This has been developed over the last 30 years and means that the tip of each ski has oval-shaped cut-outs, leaving just a layer of opaque fibreglass this reduces the weight of each ski shovel by up to 15 percent. The decrease in mass helps the ski minimize vibrations and hold an edge more precisely. This coupled with using only the latest and best materials to construct their cores and their timeless clean graphics means that Kastle’s dedication to producing some of the world’s best skis will carry on for another season. The MX range is all about unrivalled power and control to tick every box for the adventurous carving skier Ski Specification Geometry: 121mm-78mm-105mm Turn Radius: 16 Metres for 168cm length Weight: 3580g / Pair @ 168cm Core Material: Titanal sandwiched Silver Fir/ Ash Woodcore Camber/Rocker: Full Camber with tip rocker Technology: Fast Grip Shovel and tail, Hollowtech, Elliptical Radius Bindings: Tyroloia for Kastle K11 cti rail mounted system Skier Profile Snow Conditions: All snow conditions from soft snow to rock hard pistes Terrain: All conditions piste, very light off piste Skier Profile: A progressing strong intermediate right up to expert skier This ski is a great piste ripper with enough float for slope side off piste skiing. The RTM 80 is a good recommendation for strong skiers who demand top reliability and performance on varied terrain. Ride The Mountain ski constructions are harmonized to different ability levels, skiers ranging from beginner to pros can all find their perfect counterpart. The RTM 80 model has a moderate full rocker, which makes it unbelievably agile on and off the slopes. The RTM nevertheless deliver extreme control, even at higher speed ranges. Thanks to the outstanding power transfer of the iPT Wideride binding, the extra width remains nimble and precise yet offer more flotation for transitional snow and the side country. Like the RTM 84, the RTM 80 reinforced 3D construction channels forces to the edges. The major difference between the 84 and 80 construction is in the sidewall compared to the cap. The cap construction on the RTM 80 makes this full rocker ski more forgiving and a bit softer in the general ride characteristics yet still delivers the necessary power reserves for athletic skiers pushing their limits. The Extended (XTD) Wood Core is used in XTD Progressive constructions. More forgiving than the Extended Sensorwood Core, it consists an solid central section that extends toward the tip and tail. It is a very useable ski in a variety of conditions and will, without question, put a smile on your face.

Please note: Skis come with Salomon Z10 White/Black binding shown in picture above, not the Marker bindings shown on skis. The A.M.P. Series cover the broadest range of snow conditions. These skis include technologies and binding systems designed to quiet the ride and maximize control. Each ski is designed with the ‘perfect turn’ in mind, so the construction, shape and profile is specifically engineered to match the skier type and condition and results in more perfect turns with less effort every time you hit the slopes. The K2 Charger is made for expert-level skiers who charge the steepest firmest terrain. Its Speed Rocker gives you an added level of precision and accuracy as you transition from turn to turn, and the Hybritech Metal Laminate construction creates an unshakable ski when you are at high speed. If the challenge of linking textbook turns on rock hard snow at mach-speed is what you are after, the charger is up for the challenge. The optimum location and thickness of mass differs from men to women. The men’s Mod structure is more X-Shaped, distributing mass to the perimeter for increased edge-hold. The thickest part of the Mod structure in the fore body includes a new technology window. The construction combines the accuracy, power and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth t

The highly agile RTM 77 has a light full rocker profile and is especially notable for the exceptionally simple way it carries momentum throughout the entire turn. Ride the Mountain ski constructions are harmonized to different ability levels, skiers ranging from beginner to pros can all find their perfect counterpart. The RTM 77 model has a moderate full rocker, which makes it unbelievably agile on and off the slopes. The RTM nevertheless deliver extreme control, even at higher speed ranges. The RTM 77 follows a similar construction philosophy, although the reinforcement is somewhat less pronounced, giving the ski a softer feel. Optimized for ambitious intermediates, the ski’s construction provides the edge pressure needed to rise up to the next level of speed and confidence. As the name suggests, The Dual Wood Core consists of parallel strips of wood surrounded by PU. Featured in the XTD Progressive construction, it is layered with extra glass sheets top and bottom for added ski rebound. For the skier who skis 1-3 weeks of the year, wanting to progress at their own pace, and needing a ski that will ski in all conditions, its spot-on. Only those craving powder will find it coming up a little short. For infrequent excursions with that light full rocker it is excellent though, and far more interactive and supportive than a traditional piste ski. I would happily have this ski in my personal collection, It feels so easy to turn, almost effortless thanks to the rocker, and eats up choppier sections of snow (Anyone who has skied the 3 Valleys think Meribel at 3pm on a sunny day!) I also like the fact that although it has a steel laminate, it is not as heavy as some of its competitors at this price point, thanks to the 3D construction giving it control without extra weight, and the lighter binding thank found on its bigger brother the RTM 80. If you are mainly a piste skier, and are progressing from an older set of piste skis or early carvers, this is a PERFECT ski to move to, as you get some rocker without feeling you have to transform your skiing style, and will find the smoother feed into and out of the turns a revelation! Is this for me? An ideal ski for the confident intermediate skier wanting to progress through to a more advanced skier wanting an easy to work ski in all conditions, that inspires confidence whatever your level. If you are on a set of fairly old piste skis and

The Prophet 90 is an award winning combination of powder with a unique quick and snappy feel normally only found on narrower skis. You’ll have a new passport for going far beyond the groomers, with this all mountain ski, while maintaining the effortless control you’ve always enjoyed. The new Head Cyclic 115 is a Big Mountain ski packed with features the most visual being the TTS Tip and Tail Stabiliser System for supreme float and control. TNT Rocker gives 40% tip and tail rocker for amazing float in the powder with plenty of edge hold on the piste too thanks to the 60% camber. SPECIFICATION Sidecut: 148mm-113mm-131mm (For 181cm Length) Radius: 19 Metres (For 181cm length) Base Profile: TNT Rocker Ski Core: Sandwich wood core with capwall Bindings: Tyrolia Attack 16 Binding. A powerhouse of a ski this, but amazingly light for it’s width, this ski tested very well in the half decent conditions we had on test. Floating and light underfoot, it didn’t feel like a barge at all, and zipped around the whole mountain with class, even carving up the piste when tilted over. And they look awesome too!

Specification: 122/74/106 Performance: Groomed 70%: Ungroomed 30% Radius: 16m at 174cm Construction: Metal Laminate – Hybritech Sidewall Core: Aspen/Paulownia Bindings: Not included. See offers below. Features Core: Aspen is a solid and dense wood and is known for its inherent strength and durability, while Paulownia is an eco-friendly, fast growing renewable wood that is incredibly strong and lightweight. The optimum location and thickness of mass differs from men to women. The men’s Mod structure is more X-Shaped, distributing mass to the perimeter for increased edge-hold. The thickest part of the Mod structure in the fore body includes a new technology window. Speed Rocker: Designed for firm snow. This slightly elevated tip and increased tip length provides effortless initiation and flawless transitions between turns, while camber along the rest of the running surface delivers the mist precision, power and edge-hold of any rocker category. Still using a metal laminate construction this ski matches your merging skills with confidence and control. This ski will take you across the entire mountain. The AMP 76 Ti is ready to handle your next challenge with ease control and responsiveness you need, This ski is the perfect tool to progress your skiing to the next level and helps match your emerging skills with confidence and control. This is a ski designed for the beginner to early intermediate skier and having skied both the standard and the Ti version they are both very easy to ski on and yet the titanal sheet through the 76ti offers slightly more stiffness and so will allow the skier to progress on this and so offer them more longevity from their purchase. This still offers a lot of the great technology that they put into the higher end models, including their MOD technology to reduce vibrations and a glass web to offer torsional rigidity. This feels very stable and easy to ski and looks great too... Is this for me? A really nice ski to progress onto if you have been for a couple of weeks and now looking at making your first ski purchase. Alternately the older or the more relaxed lighter weight skiers could look at this as a good crusing ski that has the width underfoot to cope with some new snow on the runs.
Beginners and progressing intermediates alike will find that the RTM 75is provides a stable and capable ski as you progress to carving turns. Dual Woodcore adds rebound and responsiveness to help in bumpy terain Beginners and progressing intermediates will find that the RTM 75is playfully provides the perfect gateway to the world of edged turns. The ski is designed with a Dual Woodcore construction to ensure that it always cuts a dashing figure, even when the terrain gets a little bumpier. The Wood Core construction consists of the wooden core extending across the width of the ski body and is positioned within the central binding area. The Wood Core delivers extra power under foot and allows easier and lighter flexing at the tip and tail for a smooth, somewhat forgiving performance. Both this, the normal [RTM 75is] or single woodcore [RTM 75] versions have a unique 3D design which stabilizes the front of the ski body and transmits forces toward the ski’s center for a comfortable ride. For a tip rocker construction this translates into the stability needed for higher speeds without making turns any less gentle to initiate. At the end of the turn the classically cambered tail provides a clean arc for the curve to follow FEATURES AND BENEFITS Dual Woodcore Construction, for forgiveness with a playful feel and a bit of extra rebound when coming out of turns and when on bumpy terrain XTD PROGRESSive technology helps you get your energy to the edges for carving turns SPECIFICATION Specification: 120/75/105 Radius: 15.2m at 166cm Construction: XTD PROGRESSive Technology, Rocker: Tip Rocker Core: Dual Woodcore Construction Bindings: 4Motion SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: All-Conditions Ski Terrain: Piste, Light Off-Piste Skier Level: Ideal First Ski, Intermediates, Advanced IS IT FOR ME? The RTM 75 is just slightly softer and more forgiving than the RTM75iS. This means it is great for those who are looking to progress whilst having a confidence inspiring forgiving ski and are looking for their first ski, that will progress with them and allow them to confidently progress onto the steeper slopes with ease, offering great response, stability and easy turn initiation. The Unlimited series have always been a firm favourite with us, renown for being quick, fun and aggressive on piste and this season they retain these properties, but with the added benefit of Rocker. The RTM 75 is very stable and can be pushed to higher speeds without worrying about chatter. This is thanks to the Woodcore construction working together with the PROGRESSive Technology to allow the ski to push power to the edges, making carving very easy and yet still retaining its forgiving nature. This means it a true confidence inspiring beginner to intermediate skiers ski.
The brand new Nomad range is perfect for any skier who mostly skis on piste but also like sto be well prepared for the occasional adventure into softer snow. Innovative ARC technology allows the ski to flex evenly along its entire length for maximum traction. The new Crimson Ti is the most progressive and the widest model in the completely revamped Nomad series from Atomic – and a natural all-mountain performer. It offers a totally smooth, natural ride both on and off-piste. New ARC Technology means the Nomad Crimson Ti can take all snow conditions in its stride and with increased flow: because the skiers power is concentrated in one single point in the center of the ski, the ski is able to flex easily and naturally. The result: it maintains constant contact with the snow, is easy to control on any terrain and is both smooth and stable. Its high-grade features also include a wood core with titanium inserts, the new Step Down Sidewall 2.0 as well as an All Mountain Rocker. SKI SPECIFICATION Geometry: 131.5mm-86mm-114mm Turn Radius: 16.1 Metres at 178cm Terrain: All mountain Core Material: Woodcore Ti, Full wood core with a Titanium perferorated top sheet to offer rebound whilst absorbing vibration Camber/Rocker: All Mountain Rocker, with a tip rocker to allow easy turn initiation and great float in powder Technology: Step Down Sidewall drives power to the edges directly under the foot when charging down the piste Bindings: Atomoc XTO 14 SKI FEATURES Step Down Sidewall Woodcore 2.0 Ti: The half-cap construction at the tip and tail area protects the ski from mechanical damage, the new sidewall construction in the binding area promotes natural flex, improves edge grip and extends the life of the ski. A high-grade wood core cushions the vibrations and, in conjunction with a titanium insert, is what makes the performance of the ski so unique. All Mountain Rocker: For All Mountain skiers seeking ultimate versatility, maximum support in soft snow on any terrain and convincing carving characteristics as well as stress-free drifting on piste the Atomic All Mountain Rocker delivers. The Rocker on the Nomad range offers 85% camber with 15% of the tip lifted up to deliver perfect results. Titanium Sheet: The titanium layer is laminated to the wood core, helping control the flex and rebound of the ski, whilst offering shock absorption properties. It also aids power distribution from the bindings. ARC Technology: Free the ski to flex naturally for a smooth, natural ride. This ski is a beast! Not for the faint-hearted. This ski is very fast, very stiff and requires a good technique along with lots of speed to use off piste. The ARC Binding system works really well to sustain liveliness. I would say this ski is for the expert piste skiers who stick predominantly to the hardpack.
Measuring 129mm at the shovel, with titanal and full rocker profile, the much touted RTM 84 covers an enormously broad range of uses, making it extremely sporty on any terrain. Ride The Mountain ski constructions are harmonized to different ability levels, skiers ranging from beginner to pros can all find their perfect counterpart. The RTM 84 model has a moderate full rocker, which makes it unbelievably agile on and off the slopes. Created in a complex CNC milling process, the Extended Sensorwood Core is ‘extended’ upward and lengthwise, milled to form the chambers of the Dual XTD Transmission construction. It has amazing edge hold and control and feels smooth and stable at high speeds. Is this for me? As we have already said, this is and advanced/expert level ski that likes to be skied hard. One of the nice things about this ski is that it is all out performance but doesn’t have all the loud graphics you usually see on this type of ski, but still has that stand out German build quality that you can depend on. So If you are a strong skier that is all about performance but doesn’t want to shout about it then you should really be looking no further.
The RTM 75 Features a tip rocker profile, this means that the variable edge length at the shovel makes the ski much easier to turn. A central member surrounded by PU, Wood Core provides stable, lively skis to improving novice and intermediate skiers. For a tip rocker construction this translates into the stability needed for higher speeds without making turns any less gentle to initiate. At the end of the turn the classically cambered tail provides a clean arc for the curve to follow. The SENSOR models are coincidentally also produced based on this construction principle. Ski Specification Geometry: 120mm/75mm/105mm Turn Radius: 15.2 Metres for 166cm length Terrain: Piste Core Material: Woodcore Camber/Rocker: Tip Rocker Technology: RTM Construction, Tip Rocker, XTD Progressive Bindings: 4 Motion Weight; 2870g for 166cm with binding SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: All-Conditions Ski Terrain: Piste, Light Off-Piste Skier Level: Ideal First Ski, Intermediates, Advanced The Unlimited series have always been a firm favourite with us, renown for being quick, fun and aggressive on piste and this season they retain these properties, but with the added benefit of Rocker. Is this for me? The RTM 75 is just slightly softer and more forgiving than the RTM75iS. This means it is great for those who are looking to progress whilst having a confidence inspiring forgiving ski and are looking for their first ski, that will progress with them and allow them to confidently progress onto the steeper slopes with ease, offering great response, stability and easy turn initiation.
New for 2015 the Scott Adventure is an evolution of the popular VENTURE ski, offering improved versatility and still featuring Venturi Tips & Tails. The Scott Adventure features ample float in the soft stuff thanks to the Venturi Tip & Tail that reduces surface pressure to encourage float and allow for smooth release when in the powder, and yet with the classic sandwich sidewall construction featuring a full wood core, the Adventure can still carve sweeping turns at all speeds on marked runs. The blend of technologies, and the dual radius sidecut with an all-mountain rocker tip, ensures great stability in all snow conditions too. As a freeride all mountain ski, there is the option with this ski to run it with a standard alpine binding, or to pair it up with a heel release alpine touring binding, if you want to explore to find the freshest runs on the mountain! SKI SPECIFICATION Core Construction: Sandwich sidewall construction with Full wood core Tip rocker: Venturi Tip & Tail With Medium All-Mountain Rocker Waist: 96mm (178cm length) Bases: Factory finish Sintered bases with diamond stone structured finish Radius: Dual Radius sidecut to give a turn radius of 16 metres (For 178cm length) Bindings: Not included see below for suggestions SKIER PROFILE Skier Type: Advanced and Expert all-mountain and freeride skiers Skier Energy: A ski for the all-mountain skier that likes a ski that rewards input, and is not afraid to put some effort in Snow Conditions: All Conditions Terrain: All-mountain freeride skiing. Back country skiing when fitted with an alpine touring binding such as the Scott Guardian. I was a huge fan of the Venture, and remember how much fun I had testing it at the prelaunch a few years ago, at one point far exceeding my abilities, and this ski saved me. So the Adventure has taken the Venture’s soul and tweaked the construction a little to make it even more versatile. It is not a ski for the lazy skier – it needs input – but when you do that its stunning! Is this for me? For the all-mountain skier who wants an all conditions ski for the whole mountain that can still put in sweeping carving turns when inbounds.
New for 2015 the Scott Black Majic is destined to tearup the pistes and has already won several recognised rewards – and richly deserves them! The Black Majic builds on the success of the 2014 UK Ski Of The Year “The Ski” utilising the same titanal elliptical sandwich construction in a narrower format with a piste orientated geometry and tail. The SSCL TiT E Elliptical is paired with a titanal top AND bottom sheet, providing exceptional torsional stiffness and precise edge control. The revolutionary 3Dimension Sidecut was introduced for 2014, and combines a tip and tail radius with either a central flatline or a small amount of additional sidecut underfoot. The tip and tail radii encourage easier turn entry and release, while the larger radius flat line on the Black Majic provides stability, power and precision edge hold. The stability in particular, for such an agile ski of narrower width compared to others, is clearly experienced when skiing the Black Majic! The result is a simply stunning all-conditions piste ski that rallies down the pistes come ice or fresh powder. The combination of Scott’s unique 3Dimension sidecut and a full length wood core guarantees unmatched precision and versatility. The Black Majic simply attacks the front side of the mountain! SKI SPECIFICATION Core Construction: Sandwich sidewall construction with titanal elliptic – Full wood core Tip rocker: Pro-Tip 300 Rocker Waist: 78mm - (177cm) Radius: 3Dimension sidecut to give 14 Metres/22 Metres/13 Metres (For 177cm Length) Bindings: Not included see below for suggestions Colours: All a matt black, with a detail colour specific to each ski length (Grey 157cm, Orange 167cm, Dark Teal 177cm, Red/Blue 184cm) SKIER PROFILE Skier Type: Progressing Intermediates through to Expert piste carving skiers Skier Energy: A ski for the piste carver that likes a ski that rewards input and can go fast on demand Snow Conditions: All Conditions on Piste Terrain: All-conditions piste skiing. Can mess around on the edge of the piste too I ordered a pair after just one run on these skis. I absolutely LOVE THEM! I was lucky to get my set before a late end of season ski test wrap up and pretty much spent the whole week on them, as I was having so much fun tearing up the 3 Valleys. As I am a piste skier (not the best though!) and love the occasional burst of speed, these are almost made-to-measure for me AND have my name on them :o) I love the styling, and I run mine with a Marker Lord SP binding so I can use with my standard boots or touring boots without having to switch boots at all. The key feature on this ski I think is stability at speed – It just doesn’t flinch, unlike some of the twitchier piste orientated models out there, but is agile too. My Ski Of The Year, and runner up with Fall Line Ski Of The Year. Is this for me? For the piste carver who wants an all conditions charger that feels very solid and secure underfoot whatever the speed.

The BLASTER is a ski that is at home on the steepest and most committed pitches. The ski has a super-smooth flex and soft and progressive tip which makes its performance in variable conditions un-matched in this category. We opted for a fairly dynamic tail which is capable of holding the extra weight of skier associated with carrying a back-country back pack. The rigid central section of the ski is reassuring in both jump turns and bigger arcs, allowing the edges to really bite the snow surface. The BLASTER is the ideal companion for the modern high-altitude skier looking for a ski that will chew up any terrain. “THE ONE QUIVER SKI” A light construction combined with a profile developed to handle any terrain makes the Crusade just as comfortable on groomers as it is in the trees. SCOTT’s Venturi-Tip rocker and tail shape reduces ski-to-snow friction, allowing the Crusade to float in powder, carve on ice, and perform flawlessly on everything in between. Features & Benefits VENTURI-TIP ROCKER Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed shape with a rocker tip. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design effectively decreases the skis’ surface pressure in deep snow, while Rocker allows the tip to be elevated to the surface, yielding a highly versatile performer in both deep snow and variable conditions. Sandwich Sidewall Construction Laminate Triax lal Stability & Precision - The SSCL Triax achieves torsional rigidity on wider skis. This technology delivers exceptionally strong and stable skis. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edge s ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required. With Head’s “Rocker Done Right”, era 3.0, the all mountain REV 85 belies its width to produce a nimble all conditions piste ski that is equally agile off the sides for the progressing intermediate and advanced skier. Whatever the snow conditions, and whether on piste or off into the powder, this ski delivers a dependable sure –footedness and has the range to allow you to develop and push your skills. The 85mm width is perfect for modern European ski conditions and allows you to explore the mountain. FEATURES AND BENEFITS ERA 3.0 takes 3 key technologies to combine them into one awesome skiing package: 1. ALLRIDE ROCKER A targeted amount of rocker is placed in each era 3.0 ski to compliment the radius of the ski, to ensure maximum performance for all ability levels. Steering is easier for all skiers and soft snow versatility is enhanced. 2. PROGRESSIVE RADIUS Regular rocker makes skiers place their ski further on edge to get the full edge length from tip-to-tail. With Head’s progressive radius, up to 50% less angulation is required to enjoy full edge contact. More edge on the snow means more edge grip. 3. INTELLIRISE REBOUND Head have moved their legendary piezoelectric Intellifibers to the tip of the skis. The nasty tip vibrations found on regular rockers are not found here. These skis are too smart for that. SKI SPECIFICATION Geometry: 132mm/85mm/114mm (In 177cm length) Turn Radius: 15.9 metres average (In 177cm length) Core Construction: Sandwich Cap Construction with Intellifibers, PowerRail Bases: Quality Structured UHM C Bases Bindings: Marker Griffon Schizo Kung Fujas Bindings - centre mounted (White/Gold Colourway) SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: All-Conditions Ski Terrain: Piste, Powder, Off-Piste Skier Level: Strong Intermediates, Advanced, Expert Skiers When I had the speech on era 3.0, and even the replica mini ski model (which we subsequently ‘borrowed’, sorry Head) I listened but maybe was thinking ‘here we go again’. How wrong I was, this isn’t ground breaking technology, but rather the application of three different technologies to produce an awesome result. Just like it’s slightly wider brother the REV 90 this ski is SO EASY to ski, I personally felt it was a little stiffer than the REV90, making it perfect for a carver like me that wants some versatility but doesn’t want to compromise on edge hold, and getting a full edge to work easily, which thanks to era 3.0 is no problem for this ski! IS IT FOR ME? For the all conditions skier that wants no compromise edge hold and full edge contact, but wants a bit of width and float when the softer snow beckons.
The most versatile all mountain ski in the AMP collection, the AMP 80X couples liveliness and performance with the addition of All-Terrain RoX Technology. A 80mm waist width can be just as nimble as other narrower skis. Core: Strength and Structure A K2 ski is designed with a primary core and structural layers that determine the flex along the entire length of the ski. MOD: Suspension Added on top of the ski’s primary core is a secondary core called the MOD structure, which essentially acts independently as a suspension system, quieting the ride of the ski. The key is that the MOD structure does not change the overall flex of the ski. Carbon Web: Increased Edge Hold A raised X-shaped pattern has been added to specific regions of the MOD structure to support a Carbon Web. This X-shaped carbon support is furthest from the core to increase torsional rigidity, for greater edge-hold and grip. It works independently of the primary core so the overall longitudinal flex is unchanged. Speed Rocker: Effortless Initiation and Accuracy The addition of Speed Rocker or All-Terrain Rocker makes turns effortless with greater accuracy and edge hold. The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski. Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. The construction combines the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction. High-Performance Suspension System MOD functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. Enveloping the MOD structure with a carbon weave where the strands of carbon are laid at precise angles for an additional level of torsional rigidity on the secondary core. This keeps the ski light but gives you the additional torsional strength where you need it most. The award winning i.Supershape Titan has just been even further improved with the addition of ERA 3.0S adding a slight amount of tip rocker to this agile and versatile ski The i.Supershape Titan contains the full box of tricks from Head; K.E.R.S which collects energy whilst skiing across the piste and releases it as you exit your turns, and the new ERA 3.0S, a combination of 10% tip rocker, 90% camber, Intelligence fibres and a reshaped ski profile. The result? The Fall Line piste ski of the year for the second time in 3 years, and a firm favourite here at Edge & Wax too. FEATURES AND BENEFITS ERA 3.0S, a perfect combination of Rocker, Radius and Rebound tailored to suit the i.Supershape geometry. With a totally unique V-Shape construction this is not just a new ski, but a totally new experience. The new Supershape with ERA 3.0 S is the combination of all-mountain carving, race technology and a new gradient on turning mechanics and ski capabilities sure to impress skiers of all levels. 10% Rocker and 90% camber are combined with an additional layer of Intellifibers in the nose of the skis and a reshaped nose radius to give superb feel and control. K.E.R.S Technology works just like a turbo charger providing additional power and acceleration by stiffening the tail of the ski as you exit your turns. K.E.R.S electronic, fully automatic and integrated system. Piezoelectric fibres transform kinetic energy which is stored in the embedded microchip in the ski. This energy is released at a pre-programmed point depending on the flex pattern of the skis, increasing rebound to give a power boost! World Cup Sandwich construction takes high quality wood cores, and combines this with traditional sidewalls to help drive power to the edges for great edge hold when carving. SPECIFICATION Sidecut: 133mm-80mm-111mm Radius: 14.3 Metres (For 170cm length) Base Profile: ERA 3.0S 10% Tip Rocker, 90% Camber Ski Core: World Cup wood core sandwich construction Bindings: Head PRD 14S Rail Flex Bindings SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: Groomed Pistes, Unprepared Pistes Ski Terrain: Pistes, Light Off Piste Use Skier Level: Strong Intermediates, Advanced, Expert Skiers This is THE piste ski as far as we are concerned! 80m underfoot, that might sound a little wide, but combine this with a big shovel, ERA 3.0S and K.E.R.S and you have a powerhouse of a piste ski, which feels super-precise and capable of dealing with everything thrown at it. A more forgiving version of the Rictor, this well balanced ski comes equipped with All-Terrain Rocker and an attractive price tag. The impact is the proficient skiers carving weapon of choice that is not afraid to lead them onto off-piste adventures. Technology Carbon Web Enveloping the Mod structure with a carbon weave where the strands of carbon are laid at precise angles for an additional level of torsional rigidity on the secondary core. This keeps the ski light but gives you the additional torsional strength where you need it most. MOD Technology Mod functions by absorbing vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge-hold and a higher degree of power and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, allowing the overall ski flex to be unaffected. MOD Monic The Monic is a solid zinc mass that works in conjunction with the Mod structure to focus mass-dampening at a targeted location. All-Terrain Rocker Designed for all snow conditions. Features an elevated tip for added performance in variable or soft snow and easier turn initiation, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firm conditions. With Head’s “Rocker Done Right”, era 3.0, the all mountain REV 75 offers a great introduction to all-conditions skis for the progressing intermediate who wants to retain a nimble feel in good piste conditions The REV 75 is ideal for the skier who wants a high quality all-conditions ski, but doesn’t want to go too far outside their comfort zone with the width of their skis. At 75mm underfoot, this ski is not too wide and yet offers enough float to give it some all conditions versatility, whilst retaining superb performance on good piste bashed snow. SKI SPECIFICATION Geometry: 125mm/75mm/109mm (In 170cm length) Turn Radius: A very agile 13.5 metres average (In 170cm length) Core Construction: Full Carbon Jacket with Intellifibers with PowerRail Bases: Quality Structured UHM C Bases Bindings: Head PR 11 Bindings, PowerRail mounted SKI PROFILE Snow Conditions: Groomed Pistes, Unprepared Pistes Ski Terrain: Pistes Skier Level: Strong Beginners, Intermediates “When I had the speech on era 3.0, and even the replica mini ski model (which we subsequently ‘borrowed’, sorry Head) I listened but maybe was thinking ‘here we go again’. How wrong I was, this isn’t ground breaking technology, but rather the application of three different technologies to produce an awesome result. The 75 is ideal for someone moving away from some well-loved and worn piste skis and wanting the latest technology without having to go too wide underfoot.” IS IT FOR ME? For the piste skier that wants the latest technology to help enhance their skiing experience, and that will be based on the piste.
