The catalyst behind Line’s creation and their mission still today is the simple concept that a skier needs innovative product to progress their riding and the sport.  Line skis have been around since 1995, so are considered relatively new to the sport, but they were the ones that revolutionised the skiing industry and their input and design has led to the fat, powder skis that you see around resort today with their large sidecuts and twin tip design allowing skiers to really push the boundaries of where skiing can go. The Prophet 85 is advertised by line as like ‘lightening in a bottle...in a ski, like a fighter jet with the reflexes of a street bike’.  You get the idea. This is the narrowest of their range and is designed for those just getting into all mountain skiing or for those who are used to narrower skis and don’t want to make the jump up to a 90mm+ ski. This is a great ski that has a playful feel and would ideally suit skier who are making the first foray into an all mountain ski and does not want to go too wide.  Or is great for those who spend the majority of their time on piste but want something with the versatility to be able to take it into the powder when this is present, and with the twin tip design it can also be skied backwards for those who are so inclined. This ski still contains the metal matrix for improved edge grip and response, whist the lightweight maple Macroblock core and 85mm waist means that these are nice and light underfoot
