from an obsidian

friend purchase in
Pennsylvania and ship
over to the UK. I made
the arrowhead necklace
from snowflake obsidian
chips strung on sterling
silver wire. The
arrowhead was then caged
in sterling silver wire
and hung upon its
snowflake obsidian
trapeze. A strong

I have a friend in
Pennsylvania who sends me
over arrowheads to make
these necklaces. This
one just somehow seemed
heraldic, so I made a
silver shield for the
face of the arrowhead and
it really does look like
a necklace a knight might
have worn into
battle. The sterling
silver was used to create
the shield, which hangs
from a sterling silver
bail on a leather
necklace. The shield is
is handmade and
hallmarked in Edinburgh,
Scotland. The leather
necklace itself was
plaited by me and is made
from greek leather
(suede). Its finished off
with sterling silver
clasps. A highly
