About the Coffee Table
Even though this Coffee Table can be seen as a piece of art, the Noguchi Coffee Table is both practical and sturdy, with a playful and functional shape. The three-sided table rests securely on the minimalist base, and the glass top enhances rather than hides the sculptural elements of this design. This reproduction is available in ashwood, walnut wood or painted black and can be combined with almost any designer sofa.
History of the Coffee Table
Isamu Noguchi’s background as a sculptor and architect can clearly be seen through this Coffee Table, which was designed in 1948. The Coffee Table looks more like a piece of art than a piece of furniture, and both Gaudí’s architecture and Niki de Saint Phalle’s sculptures are brought to mind by its style. The latter, however, were not created until many decennia after the release of this table.

About the Eye Table
The Eye coffee table is an atypical Finn Juhl piece as the organic shapes have been toned down even though they can still be discerned. The tabletop is shaped like an eye and the table rests on three legs. Between the legs are bars to provide added stability and these bars have organic, fluid shapes. Goes well with Finn Juhl's poet sofa and no. 45 armchair.
History of the Eye Table
The Eye Table was designed in 1946 and is sometimes referred to as model 4850. During this period, Finn Juhl was heavily influenced and inspired by modern artists such as Picasso and Henry Moore which can be seen in the design of the table.

About the PK63A Coffee Table
The PK63A Coffee Table's frame is made of steel, and the table top was originally made out of marble. Steel was, to Kjærholm, as much a natural material as stone, leather or wood. This is evident in how he integrated the different materials, and it is particularly noticeable in this piece of furniture. The PK63A does not need to be used as a coffee table, it might as well serve as a side table, storage area TV or stereo bench. This is a testament to how minimalistic design can be incorporated to suit any purpose. For other designs by Poul Kjærholm, click here.
History of the PK63A Coffee Table
Created in 1968, the PK63A Coffee Table is one of Poul Kjærholm’s timeless furniture pieces. The characteristic feature of the table is above all the austerity of the design, as it is purged of all unnecessary detail. This, in conjunction with the choice of premium materials, faithfully reflects Kjærholm’s design philosophy.

About the Swan Dining Table
The Swan Dining Table was made to be used in a hotel lobby, alongside the famous Swan chairs, Egg chairs and AJ lamps. The table is therefore the preferred choice for those who want to recreate a small hotel lobby. Although the table works equally well, of course, alongside other furniture pieces, the table was designed to be of a sleek and simple nature, with one strong metal pole holding the surface of the table in place. The reproduction of this table is available in either walnut or painted white, and can easily be combined with any of Arne Jacobsen's other pieces.
History of the Swan Dining Table
Jacobsen created a large part of his most famous collection for just one hotel, the SAS Royal in Copenhagen. About the round Tulip Table
This round Tulip dining table is from the same series as the Tulip chair and the Tulip armchair and has become a symbol of futuristic design throughout the designing world. This piece is timeless and fits into almost any modern interior. An added advantage of the Tulip table is its lack of multiple legs, making it easy to clean and easy to accommodate extra guests. This reproduction is available in black or white marble and can be made in many different sizes. To see more designs by Eero Saarinen, click here
History of the round Tulip Table
Eero Saarinen designed the round Tulip Table in 1956 and won an award for it in 1969. He was of the opinion that multiple legs were a problem in furniture designs, and that they did not allow for the full potential of a design to be realised. He therefore created the Tulip series, which was a series of chairs and tables that were supported by only one leg, greatly resembling the natural shapes that are created by drops of water.

About the Segmented Table
The Segmented Table was designed using a wooden slab which rested on a metal construction divided into two segments, kept together by a sturdy crossbar. This construction enables the base to support many types of table slabs, varying both in shape and size. The construction of the base has another advantage, which has contributed to the popularity of the Segmented Table: the legs are almost never in the way. If one needs to fit many people around a table, the people on the edges do not have to risk hitting the legs. The sturdy construction ensures that the table does not risk tipping over. To see more Eames furniture, click here.
History of the Segmented Table
The Segmented Table, designed in 1964, is a multi-faceted table created by the husband and wife team - Charles and Ray Eames. What sets it apart is the base, which has made this table into an iconic design.

About the Barcelona Coffee Table
The Barcelona Coffee Table was one of the first tables ever to be constructed with a glass table top, and it has had as much influence on 20th century furniture design as the rest of its Barcelona series. The table was drawn for Villa Tugendhat in Brno, a project where Mies van der Rohe was also the architect. The villa was created based on the principle that less is more. The Barcelona Coffee Table is a great testament to this, as it clearly eminates a minimalistc sense of grandeur. This table goes very well with other pieces from the Barcelona collection. To see this collection, click here.
History of the Barcelona Coffee Table
All the furniture pieces that were created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the Barcelona series have become world famous classics, and this coffee table is no exception. From the beginning it was not part of the series, which was made for the World Exposition in Barcelona 1929. The table was instead created the following year, but was still given the name Barcelona as it still follows the minimalistic, yet royal style of the series.

About the Coffee Table
With this Coffee Table Knoll took her principle of understated design to great heights by making the table top out of glass. The transparency gave the table an even airier impression than it would have done otherwise. Just like most other creations by Knoll this table looks equally good in a home, in an office or other public spaces. The table is small and convenient, and can be placed where most needed. Add Florence Knoll's bench to complete the look.
History of the Coffee Table
This little coffee table, or sofa table, forms part of Florence Knolls “Executive Collection” from 1961. Knoll’s furniture pieces were always understated so as not to draw attention away from the textiles and other items within the homes that she decorated.

About the ETR Elliptical table
The ETR Elliptical table, also known as the 'Surfboard' due do its shape, is a contemporary and modern coffee table. Because of its clean and simple design, the table is a timeless creation that fits into most environments. The effective geometrical elliptical form of the table top supported by the steel rods makes the table a recognisable Eames design.
History of the ETR Elliptical table
The couple Charles and Alexandra ”Ray” Eames created the table Elliptical in 1951. At this time they were interested in different triangular shapes and forms, whereas the table top rests on a construction similar to those holding up the seats of the DSR-chair and the rocking chair RAR designs.

About the Super Ellipse Dining Table
Together with the Swedish designer Bruno Mathsson Piet Hein designed a super ellipse shaped dining table. The smooth rounded corners make it possible to accommodate extra guests around the table when needed and Hein believed that this shape was both the most practical and the most aesthetically pleasing of all geometric shapes. Held up by a strong metal structure, this table comes in two sizes and can therefore be applied to any modern interior. To see other iconic dining tables, click here.
History of the Super Ellipse Dining Table
Piet Hein drew the Super Ellipse dining table in 1968. He was a highly unusual poet, inventor and mathematician, and a strong advocate of the super ellipse shape, not only in furniture but also in terms of architecture and urban design. Eventually Piet Hein's work on the super ellipse became a dominant form of Scandinavian design and architecture in the postwar period.

About the Coffee Table
Warren Platner’s coffee table, created 1962, is really just a lowered down version of the dining table that Platner designed in the same year, and which can also be purchased here at Ikon M. In addition to being lower, the coffee table also has wider feet. Making a table in several different heights and sizes, so that it can serve different functions, was a very clever move by Platner, especially when it enables users to combine his other pieces with this beautiful glass table. To see all of Platner's iconic pieces, click here.
History of the Coffee Table
In the 1960s, Warren Platner used steel wire to sculpture an entire array of wired furniture, creating what is now considered a design icon of the modern era. To make the coffee table in several sizes not only increased the opportunities for manufacturers to sell more tables, it also made it easier for consumers who appreciate good design to find a size for their particular needs. This reproduction only comes in one size, but Platner’s coffee table looks good in any home, whether it contains a Platner Dining Table or not, and has become an iconic piece.

About the PK61 Coffee table
Although Poul Kjærholm is mainly known for his chairs and sofas, he also designed various tables. The PK61 coffee table has a minimalistic design but is still very different and stands out because of its interesting details. The table legs are not positioned in the coners but slightly to the side. This gives an interesting impression of asymmetry although the table is completely symmetrical. The PK61 coffee table is not attached to the base with screws but simply rests on the frame construction. Goes well with the designer's PK31 sofa.
History of the PK61 Coffee table
Poul Kjærholm had a philosophy about using gravity to hold furniture pieces together which this table is a perfect example of. It also shows that a true minimalist only uses screws were absolutely necessary. The table was designed in 1956 and is as modern today as back then.

About the LTR occasional sideboard
The LTR (Low Table Rod base) table is also known as the Wire Based Table. It is a low table that can be used as a sideboard in the living room, as a bedside table, as an original sofa table if several tables are placed next to each other. The table rests on the legs that became characteristic for much of the Eames’s design from that period. The table is neat and compact and can be placed almost anywhere.
History of the LTR occasional sideboard
The Eames’s had the idea that a designer should consider him or herself as a host who should cater for his or her guests and needs, and when they invited several of their friends for a Japanese tea ceremony in 1950 each guest was invited to sit down next to one of these tables.

About the Cyclone Table
The Cyclone Table is reminiscent of the later work by Mr and Mrs Eames and is also a reminder of the table with a metal base that was created by Warren Platner. In other ways, it is entirely original, not least because of its sculptural form. The Cyclone Table combines the shapes of sculptures and constructions such as railway bridges and the Eiffel tower in order to form a unique style. The metal rods form a beautiful pattern as they criss-cross down from the top to the base of the table, and the minimalistic tones of the materials make this reproduction the perfect table for an office, lounge or living room. To see more designer tables, click here.
History of the Cyclone Table
From the beginning, the Cyclone Table was designed to be a stool. Later on the stool also became a small table that was developed into this bigger table. The first stool was created in 1953, and the big table came four years later. The history behind the development of the Cyclone Table shows how one idea can result in several pieces of furniture. Even today we think of this table when we hear the name Cyclone.

About the LC6 dining table
The LC6 dining table is a stylish and contemporary design by Charles Le Corbusier. When it was first released, it instantly became popular. It was not just the appearance of the tabletop that turned heads, but also the choice of materials. The table legs are made ââof aircraft steel and welded together into one piece. Also, the black colour of the legs ensures that the table stands out from the crowd. Even today, LC6 is a table that few other tables can match. This makes it popular not only as a dining table, but also as a conference table or desk. It is simply a unique and very versatile furniture piece. The LC6 table is not assambled.

About the Tulip Side Table
The Tulip Side Table is a practical and unique design. One can place this piece anywhere where one needs an extra surface. The drop-shape base, characteristic of all Tulip furniture, ensures that the piece does not take up unnecessary space, and it rarely gets in the way. The one leg supports the surface of this table whilst allowing for greater numbers of guests to place themselves around it. This reproduction is available in either marble or fibreglass with a choice between black and white. It can be combined with multiple other pieces by Saarinen, such as the Womb Armchair
History of the Tulip Side Table
This side table is part of the Tulip series, created by Eero Saarinen in 1956. Saarinen was not afraid of challenging current ideals, and here he certainly took a stand against designs that take up too much space. His goal was to lessen the amount of legs on the furniture, since, according to him, there were too many legs in American homes.
