About the Tulip Side Table The Tulip Side Table is a practical & unique design. One can place this piece anywhere where one needs an extra surface. The drop-shape base, characteristic of all Tulip furniture, ensures that the piece does not take up unnecessary space, & it rarely gets in the way. The one leg supports the surface of this table whilst allowing for greater numbers of guests to place themselves around it. This reproduction is available in either marble or fibreglass with a choice between black & white. It can be combined with multiple other pieces by Saarinen, such as the Womb Armchair History of the Tulip Side Table This side table is part of the Tulip series, created by Eero Saarinen in 1956. Saarinen was not afraid of challenging current ideals, & here he certainly took a stand against designs that take up too much space.
