About the Segmented Table
The Segmented Table was designed using a wooden slab which rested on a metal construction divided into two segments, kept together by a sturdy crossbar. This construction enables the base to support many types of table slabs, varying both in shape & size. The construction of the base has another advantage, which has contributed to the popularity of the Segmented Table: the legs are almost never in the way. If one needs to fit many people around a table, the people on the edges do not have to risk hitting the legs. The sturdy construction ensures that the table does not risk tipping over.
