The Ardbeg Very Young is the first release of spirit produced at the distillery after the Glenmorangie takeover in 1997. This was produced in 1998 & bottled in 2004 at cask strength. Its the first part in the Young series & now very collectable & rare. Nose: Very peaty & spicy. Notes of cut hay, fresh herbs, smoke, kippers. Hints of the coast, lime juice, coal tar.
