    Capsules are used as an
    effective single dose for
    the treatment of vaginal
    thrush. With the Canesten
    Oral Capsule symptoms of
    vaginal thrush should
    disappear within 2 days
    of treatment. If you find
    that after taking the
    Canesten that the
    symptoms still persist
    after more than 7 days
    then it is advisable to
    see your doctor. Canesten
    Oral Capsules can also be
    used to treat males
    suffering from thrush on
    the penis. Ensure that
    the whole capsule is
    swallowed with a glass of
    water, with or without
    food. A single Canesten
    Oral Capsule contains
    150mg of Fluconazol,
    Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
    and Lactose Monohydrate.
    Warnings Do not use if
    you are pregnant, trying
    for a baby or breast
    feeding. Do not use if
    you are taking
    terfenadine of cisapride.
    Consult your doctor or a
    pharmacist before use if
    you are taking any
    medication other than the
    contraceptive pill and if
    you are aged under 16 or
    over 60. If you develop
    an allergy to Canesten
    Fluconazol Oral Capsule,
    see your doctor
    immediately. Keep out of
    sight and reach of
    children. Side Effects
    Canesten Fluconazol Oral
    Capsule may cause side
    effects in some people.
    The most common side
    effects include sickness,
    stomach discomfort,
    diarrhoea and wind.
    Rarely, people have
    experienced a rash or
    headaches.

    Pack contains one
    Canesten Oral Capsule and

    Thrush Cream.  The
    capsule is an effective
    single dose treatment for
    vaginal thrush or penile
    thrush.  The cream

    soreness caused by the
    infection in women and
    men.    Directions
    Swallow the capsule whole
    with a glass of water

    Indications Canesten 1.0%
    Cream may be used to
    treat fungal skin
    infections such as
    ringworm, athlete's
    foot, fungal nappy rash
    and fungal infection of
    the breast fold
    (intertrigo).  It may
    also be used for the
    treatment of irritation
    of the vulva (entrance to
    the vagina) or end of the
    penis (glans) which may
    be associated with
    thrush.    Directions
    Apply thinly and evenly
    to the affected area 2 or
    3 times a day and rub in
    gently.  If the feet are
    infected, they should be
    washed and dried
    thoroughly, especially
    between the toes, before
    applying the cream.  The
    duration of treatment
    depends on the type of
    infection.  Generally a
    minimum of 2 weeks is
    required, although more
    than 4 weeks may be
    necessary.

GENERIC CLOTRIMAZOLE
(Canesten) Cream 1% 20g
    Indications Clotrimazole
    Cream is used to treat
    fungal infections of the
    skin.  Can also be used
    to treat genital fungal
    infections such as
    thrush.    You should
    see an improvement in
    your condition after a
    few days. If your
    condition does not seem
    to be getting better
    after seven days,
    consult your doctor for
    advice   It is also
    sometimes known as:
    Abtrim; Candiden;
    Canesten; Canesten-AF.
    You may notice the use of
    any of these names on the
    packaging of your
    medicine.   Directions
    Use clotrimazole exactly
    as directed by your
    doctor.  Always read the
    manufacturer's
    information leaflet, if
    possible, before
    beginning treatment. 
    Clotrimazole preparations
    are usually applied two
    to three times a day
    until the infection has
    cleared.    Complete
    the full course of
    treatment with
    clotrimazole, otherwise
    your infection is likely
    to come back.    Always
    wash and dry your hands
    thoroughly before and
    after handling
    clotrimazole.   
    Warnings Do not allow
    clotrimazole to come into
    contact with the eyes,
    ears, or mucous
    membranes (eg. mouth,
    vagina, inside of nose
    etc.), unless you are
    advised to do so by your
    doctor.  Before using
    any of this preparation
    make sure your doctor or
    pharmacist knows: if you
    have ever had an allergic
    reaction to this or any
    other medicine if you are
    using any other
    preparations, including
    those available to buy
    without a prescription,
    herbal and complementary
    medicines  Before using
    any 'over-the-counter'
    medicines, check with
    your pharmacist which
    medicines are safe for
    you to use alongside
    clotrimazole..     Side
    Effects Clotrimazole
    occasionally causes skin
    irritation such as
    redness, itching, or a
    burning sensation. This
    should soon disappear. If
    it doesn't or if it
    becomes severe, stop
    using clotrimazole and
    ask your doctor or
    pharmacist for advice. 
    If you experience any
    other worrying symptoms,
    which you think may be
    due to this preparation,
    consult your doctor or
    pharmacist.  Keep out of
