In the mountainous area of the Upper Penedes the more delicate & aromatic white grape varieties are grown. This wine takes its name from the emerald colour of the Mediterranean & is made from the varieties Mosacatel de Alejandria (85%) y Gewurztraminer (15%). A voluptuous, exotically perfumed nose, with deliciously well-defined primary aromas (some floral notes, roses, lilies...), complemented by secondary aromas derived from the wine's controlled fermentation. Silky & sappy on the palate. Excellent with shellfish (a sublime match for an avocado & shellfish salad, for instance), as well as with fish, fresh melon with cured Spanish ham, pates, poultry or pork in a sweet & sour sauce. Serve at 11deg C.
