One distillery produced two distinct single malts made for half the year each: A very lightly peated Tobermory (peated characteristic is from the water supply) & very lightly peated Ledaig. The two spirits are produced using the same stills, wash backs, mash tuns & the same process water but the two are totally different in character due to the malted barley used. Spirit cut is also slightly later for the Ledaig as the phenolic flavours come off at the end of the run. This was originally the Tobermory 15 Year Old release, however this spirit has spent some more of its time resting in its Oloroso casks at Tobermory's Hebridean distillery. The result is an exquisite sherried malt, which is entwined with salted toffee & floral honey, finishing with caramelised walnuts, & a subtle salty undercurrent.

Colour:
Deep Rose Gold. Nose: Vanilla, ripe oranges, toasted barley & rich fruitcake, with a hint of cocoa. Palate: Obvious sherry influence, salted toffee, vanilla fudge & spicy oak, with candied citrus & floral honey. Finish: Caramelized walnuts with a subtle salty undercurrent.

Nose: A lovely sherried nose with notes of fig, orange marmalade, hints of leather & a touch of smoke. Palate: Medium to full bodied. Rich sherry fruit cake, milk chocolate, creamy toffee, light oak, a hint of white pepper creating a lovely spicy tang. Finish: Softly spicy, tingling with a nutty note, a hint of salt, lingering then gently fades. Appearance: A tantalising natural colour of golden chestnuts. Each drop of this rare & un-chillfiltered limited malt has been perfected using a dual-location-maturation process; first transferring the spirit into gloriously refined Gonzalez Byass Oloroso Sherry casks & then moving each cask from the mainl&, where the whisky develops, back to the island for its final undisturbed year.
