Details: A beautifully detailed, long lasting, handmade pewter pin badge of the VR Penfold pillar box, at a scale of 1:60. With a secure 'clutch and pin' fastening, this pin badge is perfect for attaching to your hat or lapels. History: This elegant design was the standard pillar box between 1866-1879. Designed by Mr JW Penfold, after the prototype was approved in 1866, mass production began. It was made in three sizes and five slightly different styles. This type here is one from the British Postal Museum, painted red, which replaced green as the standard colour for letter boxes from 1874. Ideal for: A wonderful gift and collectable item, for those over the age of 14 years. Measures: 3cm
