Part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection this is a sought after bottle of 2016 Sazerac 18 Year Rye. Using a mash bill recipe of Minnesota rye, Kentucky corn grade 1 & 2 & North Dakota malted barley this bourbon entered the barrels in 1998, was matured on the 2nd floor of Wearhouse K & emptied from the barrels 18 years later in 2016. The 2016 expression from Thomas Handy was bottled from 24 barrels that saw a 72.1% loss to evaporation & it is estimated there were only 2, 587 bottles released. - this is the 2016 edition, bottled at a generous 63.1% ABV. Named after the legendary New Orleans bartender, Thomas H. Handy. This Rye Whiskey uses a mash bill of Minnesota rye, Kentucky corn, & North Dakota malted barley. Distilled in the spring of 2010 it entered the barrels at 135 proof & matured for six years & five months on the 4th, 5th & 6th floors of Warehouses I, K & M. Only 61 barrels were selected for this bottling. Nose: Powerful, lush, & boldly spicy. Palate: Flavours of toffee, fig cake, & glazed fruit, followed by mint, cinnamon. Finish: ultimately reveals subtle notes of allspice, coconut & nutmeg. Long & warm.

A bottling of 1985 vintage Scapa by industry veterans Gordon & Macphail. The spirit was distilled just after the distillery was modernised & bottled 10 years later, by which time the distillery was mothballed (albeit temporarily). Scapa flow, a stretch of water linking the North Sea to the Atlantic, is famous for its roles in both World Wars, The distillery, near Kirkwall, fails to be the northern most in Scotland by only half a mile. It was founded in 1885, & was powered by a waterwheel that has now been restored. Two of the original warehouses survive, accommodating empty casks, but most of the present fabric dates from 1959. The water supply is very peaty, but the distillery uses wholly unpeated malt. It has a Lomond wash-still, which may contribute to a slight oiliness of the whisky. Maturation is in Bourbon casks, & that may account for the vanilla notes, sometimes suggesting very spicy chocolate
