This Glendronach was distilled in 1994 & aged for 18 years
- a must for any Glendronach fan. Each year Glendronach's Master Distiller, Billy Walker, specially selects a handful of individual casks from the warehouse of the Glendronach Distillery. With maturing whiskies dating back as far as 1968, there is a vast selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons & butts to choose from. Each of these casks display truly remarkable characteristics; the malt whisky contained within having developed exceptionally well during the long maturation process. Individually numbered by h&, each vintage release is an exclusive one-off, with only a limited number of bottles available. These exceptional expressions are a fantastic representation of the style of whiskies maturing in the Glendronach Distillery warehouses, & are smooth, well balanced & tremendously complex. This bottle came from cask number 3547 & was one of only 607 produced. Nose: Aromatic sweet sherry & lots of dried fruits. Palate: Full, sweet sherry notes, raisins & figs, plenty of cinnamon followed by milk chocolate & faint nutty notes. Finish: Long, with honey sweetness & zesty citrus.
