The James Coombes is based on a table engine reputed to have worked for more than a century at a Bristol colliery. The original engine developed Approx. 20 horsepower at 60 psi running at 40 r.p.m. This model is scaled down one inch to the foot (1:12). Please remember our sets of castings require the use of a lathe & milling machine to turn them into a working steam engine.
