The Dray Tek Vigor 130 is an ADSL & VDSL modem with an Ethernet connection; it is not a router but a true ADSL/VDSL Ethernet Modem (bridge). The Vigor 130 provides compatibility with all current UK VDSL/ADSL technologies; it has been extensively tested & tuned to provide a robust & reliable DSL connection. By providing a PPPo E bridge, the connected device (firewall, router or PC) can log into the Internet (your ISP) directly & have full control over the Internet connection
- that makes the Vigor 130 a unique product. You can connect any device to the Vigor 130 which has a PPPo E client facility, which

Includes::
PCs, most Ethernet-WAN routers & the Apple Airport/ Time Capsule products. Other Ethernet modems may use workarounds to get a public IP address through to your secondary device/client, requiring non-standard operation & complicated dual-stage setup (modem logs in, router routes) but the Vigor 130 provides the secondary device with a real routed IP connection & the ability to fully manage the connection, making setup easy. In most cases, the Vigor 130 needs no setup or configuration
- just plug it in & set up your PC or router. All login/ISP details are entered on the connected client device, not the Vigor 130. The actual connection to your ISP is still PPPo A or PPPo E (depending on your ISP & line type). This transparent bridging method also differs from using a normal ADSL/VDSL router which logs in itself & then uses NAT or multiple public IP addresses to create an onward client connection for your secondary device; that is not IP Address thrifty & can introduce secondary NAT compromises or interference with various protocols/traffic. With the Vigor 130 bridge/modem, you get a true single public IP address (or multiple, if you have them) straight through to your firewall/router. Key Features ADSL & VDSL2 (FTTC/BT Infinity) Ethernet Modem Bridge (pass) a single IP address or a whole public subnet IPv 6 & IPv 4 Compatible Ethernet Connection for client device (router, PC etc.) Ideal for Apple Airport devices

The Vigor 2762 is an ADSL/VDSL2, Ethernet or 3G/4G router, thats ideal for your small office or home business/office. It provides connectivity to your PCs or other Internet-connected devices (laptops, tablets, games consoles, smartphones) via its 4 built-in Gigabit Ethernet ports, or using Wireless LAN (on n & ac models). The firewall helps protect your network from external threats, as well as the Vigor 2762s built-in Content Filtering which gives you control over what & when your local users can access or download. The Vigor 2762 series can alternatively connect to an Ethernet Internet connection, such as a cable/fiber modem (e.g. Virgin Media) instead of connecting to a ADSL/VDSL line. Compatible 3G & 4G (LTE) modems can also optionally be added to the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port to provide backup or main Internet connectivity without any fixed line. The Dray Tek Vigor 2762ac adds 802.11ac Dual-Band Wireless to your network, with up to 866 Mbps on the 5 G Hz 11ac b&, & up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 G Hz b&, allowing devices access to the Internet from around the property. The Vigor 2762ac operates simultaneiously in both the 2.4 Ghz & less congested 5 Ghz band so your devices can connect to either, with Band Steering to ensure that each wireless device connecting is guided to its most suitable wireless b&. The Vigor 2762 Vac variant integrates a Vo IP ATA (Analogue Telephone Adapter), which provides two analogue phone ports to provide Vo IP integration via the Internet (Vo IP). You can connect 1 or 2 regular telephones, which can be used independently & simultaneously for both incoming & outgoing calls. An Ideal firewall router for Fibre Broadband Many broadband connections offered by ISPs are referred to as Fibre Broadb&, although technically in many cases theyre actually VDSL based connections which run over your phone line. The phone lines twisted pair telephone cable runs from the premise to a street cabinet (these are typically 4ft green boxes with a Openreach logo on) which contain a VDSL MSAN (multi-service access node) that connects to fibre infrastructure which runs to the local exchange & then on to the ISPs core network. The Vigor 2762s built-in DSL interface (WAN1) is ideal for connecting this type of VDSL based connection. Cable Modem & Ethernet WAN Compatible As well as being able to connect to ADSL/VDSL lines directly through the Vigor 2762s RJ11 DSL socket, the Vigor 2762 series can instead connect to Ethernet-fed Internet connections, such as that provided by cable modems (e.g. Virgin Media). When Ethernet WAN is enabled, LAN Port 4 switches to become your WAN port into which you can connect to your cable modem or other Ethernet feed. The other 3 Gigabit LAN ports (1-3) remain available for normal LAN connectivity. Note, you cannot have Ethernet WAN & ADSL/VDSL enabled at the same time; if Ethernet WAN is enabled, the ADSL/VDSL port is disabled (and vice versa). The photo on the right shows the Vigor 2762 connected to a fiber modem using the Ethernet WAN Port. IPv 6
- Next Generation Internet Routing The Vigor 2762 supports IPv 6
- the successor to the current IPv 4 addressing system that has been used since the Internet was first created. IPv 4 address space is full up & IPv 6 allows for much more efficient routing & a larger address space. IPv 6 is supported directly from your own ISP, but if your ISP does not (yet) support IPv 6, the Vigor 2762 also supports IPv 6 broker/tunnel services to provide IPv 6 access using either TSPC or AICCU via 3rd party IPv 6 providers. The advanced networking features of the Vigor 2762, such as the object-based Firewall, Quality of Service, Content Filtering & VLANs support both IPv 4 & IPv 6 networks.

Key Features Integrated Vo IP Telephone Adapter (SIP ATA) 2 PSTN Telephone (FXS) ports Phone Book & Digit Map Call Barring (with schedule) Support for SRTP & ZRTP encryption The Vigor 2762 Vac features the same

Specification as the standard Vigor 2762 series router models, with the addition of two phone ports for Vo IP services Standard Analogue telephone handsets or DECT phone bases can be connected to the Phone 1/2 ports & each of the phones can then be used to make & receive calls using Vo IP services (over the Internet) as opposed to using your traditional landline. The two phone ports are independent so you can make two calls at once. Its like having two extra phone lines, but without the monthly rental of additional l&-lines. Vo IP calls are typically much lower cost that fixed-line calls, or if youre calling another Vo IP user (who is also using the same Vo IP provider, or SIP compatible) the calls are free. There are many SIP Vo IP providers who can provide pay-as-you-go or monthly calling plans, such as Dray TEL. You can also have your Vo IP accounts registered in more than one location so that the phone rings at home or work, & providers can also provide geographic (or non-geographic) phone numbers for incoming calls. Click on the Vo IP Features tab for more detail. A 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch on the LAN side provides high speed connectivity for your computers, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Wireless Access Points, or for uplink to a larger Ethernet switch. The Vigor 2762 Vac has ADSL/VDSL support through the DSL (WAN1) port; alternative WAN ports can instead provide connectivity to Ethernet feeds 1, or a 3G/4G modem using a supported USB (Universal Serial Bus) 3G/4G Modem.
