Specification as the standard Vigor 2762 series router models, with the addition of two phone ports for Vo IP services Standard Analogue telephone handsets or DECT phone bases can be connected to the Phone 1/2 ports & each of the phones can then be used to make & receive calls using Vo IP services (over the Internet) as opposed to using your traditional landline. The two phone ports are independent so you can make two calls at once. Its like having two extra phone lines, but without the monthly rental of additional l&-lines. Vo IP calls are typically much lower cost that fixed-line calls, or if youre calling another Vo IP user (who is also using the same Vo IP provider, or SIP compatible) the calls are free. There are many SIP Vo IP providers who can provide pay-as-you-go or monthly calling plans, such as Dray TEL. You can also have your Vo IP accounts registered in more than one location so that the phone rings at home or work, & providers can also provide geographic (or non-geographic) phone numbers for incoming calls. Web Content Filtering with DNS Filter The content control features of the Vigor 2766ac allow you to set restrictions on web site access, blocking download of certain file or data types, blocking specific web sites with whitelists or blacklists, blocking IM/P2P applications or other potentially harmful or wasteful content. Restrictions can be per user, per PC or universal & according to time schedules. Content filtering can also block sites using HTTPS/SSL where URLs are encrypted (and normal routers cannot block). Using the Global View service, you can block whole categories of web sites (e.g. gambling, adult sites etc.), subject to an annual subscription, which is continuously updated with new or changed site categorisations or sites which have become compromised (such as infected with Malware). - Dray Tek Dynamic DNS Address Dray Tek provides a free Dynamic DNS address to each Vigor 2766ac router, allowing you to link the router's current IP address to a memorable "drayddns.com" hostname, such as "vigor 2766.drayddns.com". This address automatically updates whenever the internet connection's IP changes, so if one WAN’s IP address allocation is dynamic, or the IP changes when switching from the primary WAN connection to a backup, you can easily locate & access your Vigor 2766ac router. Just use the hostname to access the router's VPN services, management & any other services you have made accessible through the router. The Vigor 2766ac can also authenticate your Dray DDNS hostname with free SSL/TLS certificates provided by Lets Encrypt. The router manages & automates the certificate process, keeping the certificate up to date & ready for use with SSL VPN & other services. Multi-Purpose USB (Universal Serial Bus) Ports The Vigor 2766ac has two USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports which can be used for 4G/LTE modem, USB (Universal Serial Bus) temperature sensor, storage, or a printer for shared access (sold separately). Connect a USB (Universal Serial Bus) 4G/LTE modem to the Vigor 2766ac & use mobile broadband as your internet connectivity. That can be your primary connection, or the router can switch over to 4G in the case of ADSL/VDSL/G. Fast outage, so that you're always connected. Use your Vigor 2766ac as a network attached storage (NAS) by connecting a USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash drive or hard drive (not included). With Windows networking (SMB) & FTP connectivity to allow Windows, Apple, Android & Linux devices to access the router's storage, locally & through VPN. Central AP Management The Vigor 2766ac can manage & aid in setting up Vigor AP access points, connected locally to the router.
