One of the simplest and easiest ways to take eye q is our standard capsules. We offer these in pots of 60s, 180s and 360s. The capsules are made at a pharmaceutical-grade facility, and use bovine gelatine, certified as being in full compliance with EC specifications on BSE. That is, the gelatine is sourced from countries where there has been no recorded case of the disease. Our experience has been that the bovine source is the most reliable and tested gelatine format. It is also certified as Halal and Kosher. The intake recommendations for eye q capsules are: - One should take 6 capsules a day for the first 12 weeks, and then 2 capsules a day thereafter. This means that on an initial intake basis, it is best to start with the 180s or 360s, which will provide respectively enough capsules to last one or two months. Once one is on the maintenance intake, just one pot of 60s will provide 2 capsules a day for each month.
cardiozen The focus of cardiozen, hi-EPA omega-3 with CoQ10 Equazen used special production techniques to bring you cardiozen: a formulation that contains 80% omega-3 long chain fatty acids in a natural triglyceride form. This is the most bioavailable form of essential fatty acids, which means these important nutrients are readily available for use within the body. cardiozen is particularly rich in one fatty acid - EPA. This omega-3 fatty acid is converted by the body into prostaglandins, hormone-like substances that may play an important role in a wide variety of body functions, including maintenance of a healthy heart. The fish oil source has been processed to a pharmaceutical-grade of purity, ensuring we optimise the omega-3 long chain fatty acids included. We have also added CoQ10 to cardiozen because it is thought to play an important role in the production of energy within the cells of muscle tissue. CoQ10 is also a powerful antioxidant, protecting cells from free radicals. A concentrated delivery of EPA cardiozen was developed to provide a pure and concentrated form of a specific fatty acid, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). We all have a requirement for this essential nutrient especially as the typical Western diet may have depleted levels of it. Our need for EPA is higlighted by a growing body of research showing that this functional fatty acid is of real benefit for maintaining the health of the heart, body and mind. To get the best results, we source our EPA from a high grade of marine fish oil. We then employed pharmaceutical-grade concentration techniques to produce cardiozen, an oil that ensures one can enjoy the optimal potential of EPA.
eye q liquid 200ml Getting children to take fatty acids, especially fish oil, can be problematic. Often, the production methods used to disguise the fishy taste can damage the delicate fatty acids, and involve using synthetic additives that may not be best for those with dietary sensitivities. When we formulated our two eye q liquid variants, we decided on high grade natural sourced oils. Firstly, our hi-EPA marine lipid used across the eye q range has been processed to remove much of the fishy taste and odour. The oil is put into a near vacuum and blasted with steam at a pressure of about 20 atmospheres. This process washes out any volatiles and minimises any 'fishy' taste. You can see more about this in our Equazen Process section, but the important thing is that we end up with a pleasant tasting fish oil. We then combine the fish oil with our virgin EPO, which is certified as being free of any chemicals or additives, with a hi-oleic sunflower oil. This stabilises the long chain fatty acids, which if unprotected, have a tendency to oxidise. Perhaps the most important stage is the flavouring: or more precisely, making sure we use the right ones. The vanilla flavour should find favour with the most discerning of young palates. We use non-solvent CO2 to extract our vanilla essence from Madagascan vanilla beans. We then employ the latest flavouring technology developed for the luxury ice cream industry. The vanilla essence is mixed with vegetable oil extracts that actually help to trigger the sensation of sweetness on the taste buds. This gives the oil a creamy sugary taste, but it is sugar-free! For our citrus flavour we use a blend of natural lemon flavours. Both variants of eye q liquid come in high quality Food and Drug Administration-approved aluminium flasks, developed in Switzerland for the pharmaceutical industry. Light, durable and superior to glass, this material has for years been the industry standard for transporting oils. The interior is coated with a food-grade lacquer, ensuring that at no stage does the oil contact the container. The intake of eye q liquid is based on our 500-mg capsules. One 5-ml teaspoon will give you the same amount of active elements as in two 500-mg capsules of eye q. The initial intake of eye q liquid equates to 3 teaspoons for the first 12 weeks, afterwhich a maintenance dose of 1 teaspoon per day is recommended. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within three months. Chilled oil may look cloudy.

eye q chews We hope both children and parents will find our novel eye q chews particularly appealing. The recipe for eye q chews is based more around what is not in the capsules, rather than what has been included. In keeping with our concern that these days we all have to be very careful what we feed our children, we have managed to deliver these 'nature identical' strawberry-flavoured capsules without including additives such as aspartame, saccharine, or hydrogenated oils. So it may not have the sweet taste provided by such additives, but we hope that responsible parents will be reassured by the ingredient list, which is very short. So all that is in eye q chews are our naturally-sourced omega-3 and omega-6 oils, nature identical strawberry flavour, and some basic ingredients to make the capsule shell chewy. The daily intake (2 capsules) delivers the following amount of fatty acids:
mumomega Why mother and baby need fatty acids Equazen developed mumomega to help deliver the structural fatty acids required at an important time of life: before, during and after pregnancy. We all have a requirement for long-chain fatty acids, but research is indicating that the particular fatty acids DHA and AA are needed as building blocks for the cells that make up the eye and brain during pregnancy. So it is important that pregnant women have an adequate input from their diet. A dietary source of these fatty acids is oily fish, however it is sometimes difficult to consume sufficient quantities via the diet. Therefore supplementation with mumomega offers a convenient way of optimising intake of these nutrients. The omega-3 and omega-6 oils we use in this formulation are of high purity, so you can take the supplement in the knowledge that you are putting goodness into your body. Expecting mothers need to be careful about their fatty acid input, not only for babies, but for themselves. Mother Nature gives the baby priority, and it effectively treats mother's brain as a food source, stripping away structural fatty acids, which are then carried across the placenta to help foetal brain development. This entirely natural process can result in the maternal brain shrinking by up to 3% during pregnancy. Clearly, it is prudent at this important time to ensure a proper intake of essential fatty acids, which is where a particularly supplement such as mumomega may be considered. The formulation is based on careful research into the role of fatty acids in neuro-development. Up to 30% of the dry weight of the brain is made up of long chain fatty acids, the majority being omega-3 DHA, and to a lesser degree omega-6 AA. These nutrients can only be supplied from the diet. It is particularly important that these long chain fatty acids are readily available during the third trimester of pregnancy, and the first two years of a child's life: the times when brain development is most rapid. One must ensure mother takes enough AA and DHA during pregnancy, and after, when the child is hopefully being breastfed. mumomega helps to supplement the essential fatty acids that are present in breast milk. Of particular interest is the fact that organisations recommend we all eat more fish
