Morgon is famed for producing cru Beaujolais that stands toe-to-toe with Burgundian Pinot Noir. The vines behind ' La Ballofière' are, on average, 70-years-old, & once the juice is squeezed from these venerable, flavour packed bunches, 30% is aged in oak barrels. This practice isn't cheap. But the end product is very likely to be the richest Beaujolais you'll taste with bold dark cherry & plum notes & violet hints.
