Morgon is famed for producing cru Beaujolais that stands toe-to-toe with Burgundian Pinot Noir. The vines behind 'La Ballofière' are, on average, 70-years-old, and once the juice is squeezed from these venerable, flavour packed bunches, 30% is aged in oak barrels. This practice isn't cheap. But the end product is very likely to be the richest Beaujolais you'll taste with bold dark cherry and plum notes and violet hints.
