Ardbeg Drum is a special whisky, matured in Ex-Bourbon casks & finished in Ex-Rum casks. The flavour notes are trying to invoke the tropical area of the Americas (the rum finish). The whisky is a limited edition of 12, 000 bottles & is a marriage of two different styles of Ardbeg, which have been re-racked in Sherry casks for the last six months. Nose: Big waft of Peat, nicely fruity with a hint of Vanilla & spices. Palate: Full & rounded. Absolutely massive mouth feel. Peat weaves in well with the nicely sherried notes.
