Ardbeg Drum is a special whisky, matured in Ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Ex-Rum casks. The flavour notes are trying to invoke the tropical area of the Americas (the rum finish). Some of the notes that you pick up are Pine resin, wood smoke, ripe banana and pineapple. This bottle has been created to pay homage to the tradition at the Ardbeg Day Carnival of colourful floats on the final day of the festival. Mickey Heads, distillery manager, said: ‘The Ardbeg Day Carnival is about embracing all things tropical.
