Introduction to Marketing Management (Byte Size Skills Course)
Introduction To Marketing
Management (Byte Size Skills
Course)
    Introduction to Marketing
    Management
    Course Marketing has a
    key functional role as
    the only part of the
    organisation which has
    proactive contact with
    customers; it is the
    bridge to the customer
    and the consumer. This is
    the aspect of marketing
    which most people
    recognise, and which can
    be thought to be
    marketing's sole role.
    But unless marketers take
    an active part at
    corporate level it is
    unlikely that the
    organisation as a whole
    will have a customer
    focus. A major role for
    marketing management is
    therefore to encourage
    and reinforce a marketing
    orientation that
    permeates every sector of
    the organisation. At
    corporate level any
    organisation has a
    relationship with its
    environment - the need
    to manage this
    relationship should be
    obvious, but
    unfortunately this
    realisation only came to
    many British firms in the
    take-over battles of the
    1970s when they found
    that although their
    brands might be well
    known the organisation
    itself was not. Corporate
    managers quickly came to
    realise the need to use
    marketing's core skills
    to market the
    organisation as well as
    its products. After
    participating in this
    course, you should be
    able to: determine
    the role and
    effectiveness of
    marketing in given
    circumstances identify
    the key stages in the
    corporate planning
    process establish
    management objectives
    use key marketing terms
    correctly

Principles of Remuneration (Byte Size Skills Course)
Principles Of Remuneration
(Byte Size Skills Course)
    Principles of
    Remuneration
    Course The current
    term used to describe the
    payment arrangements for
    people at work is reward,
    and this is associated
    closely with the idea of
    linking payment to
    performance. This, in
    turn, is inextricably
    linked with the idea of
    Human Resource Management
    that has the potential to
    transform the people
    management processes in
    and around
    organisations. In this
    course, we  investigate
    the strategic approach to
    reward, job evaluation
    and performance pay.

Marketing Communications
Marketing Communications
    Marketing Communications
    Course Is marketing
    communications
    essentially just to do
    with sales and profits
    and activities such as
    advertising? Certainly,
    you learn in this course
    that sales and profits,
    together with the tools
    and techniques of
    advertising, are
    important considerations
    and tools of marketing
    communications. Virtually
    all organisations at some
    time need effective
    marketing communications.
    This need cuts across
    different types of
    organisations from profit
    seekers to not-for-profit
    organisations, across
    different types of
    situations and problem
    areas such as the need,
    say, to minimise adverse
    publicity through to the
    need to increase public
    donations. And it
    encompasses the
    relatively small local
    company through to the
    major multi-nationals
    operating on a global
    basis. Effective
    marketing communications
    has become even more
    important to
    organisations, but at
    the same time, more
    complex and difficult to
    plan.

Hot Stone Massage + 1 Clinic Days Training Course
Hot Stone Massage + 1 Clinic
Days Training Course
    Hot Stone Massage
    Training Course The
    concept of massage
    therapy using stones has
    been used in many
    different cultures for
    many years.Tribal Healers
    and Village wise women
    used rocks from the river
    beds and warmed them
    either in hot coals or
    hot water.  By placing
    the hot stones on cloth
    on the body and arranging
    them along the energy
    points of the body, this
    would help to relax the
    muscles and reduce pain
    or discomfort, and
    therefore support the
    healing process. The
    placing of the stones is
    often followed by a
    holistic massage which
    proves to result in a
    deeper and more intense
    treatment as the heat
    penetrates the body and
    relaxes the muscles and
    the cold stones stimulate
    the neural pathways and
    circulatory
    system. This 10 lesson
    hot stone massage course
    shows the student the
    history of hot stone
    massage to the modern day
    development and use of
    hot stone massage
    techniques and associated
    therapies. The course
    focuses upon practical
    massage therapy
    techniques that can be
    learned and practised by
    the student, either as a
    stand alone therapy in
its own right or as part
    of a practicing holistic
    therapist’s repertoire
    of effective
    techniques. The course
    shows the student how hot
    stone  techniques can be
    incorporated into
    holistic therapeutic
    practice which will be
    of great value to
    practitioners of both the
    body working therapies
    and also of pure holistic
    treatments. Who should
    take this course? The
    course is completely
    stand alone and is aimed
    at students who wish to
    obtain competence and
    experience in a practical
    hands-on therapy. No
    previous experience is
    required as the course
    covers the appropriate
    basics, but students of
    holistic massage will
    find that this course
    adds another dimension to
    their
    treatments.Practitioners
    of other therapies will
    find the course very
    useful as it adds another
    popular treatment
    technique to their
    existing
    practise. This course
    includes “hands on”
    based practical training.
    The first part of the
    course is the distance
    learning theory element
    which is completed in
    your own time and done
    entirely from the comfort
of your own home. As you
    near the end of your

Business Communications
Business Communications
    Business Communications
    Course One of the
    features of business
    economy in most developed
    countries in the world,
    since the Second World
    War, has been the
    increase in size of
    business units. This
    process has tended to

    years, with the mergers
    and take-overs that have
    taken place in order to
    produce economies of
    scale and ability to
    compete on an
    international
    level. In consequence,
    managers and
    subordinates are having

Identity Theft
Identity Theft
    Identity Theft
    Course Identity theft
is not a new crime, it
    is probably as old as
    crime itself, it was
    until not so long ago
    known as
    impersonation. At the
    present moment it is
    estimated that one in
four will be a victim of
    identity theft in the
    next twelve months and an
    estimated five hundred
    percent increase will
    occur in growth
    annually. The results
    of identity theft can be
    devastating for the
    victim. We tend to think
    of financial loss when we
    think of becoming a
    victim of this crime;
    this though is only part
    of the many problems that
    may come about. This
    course aims to make the
    student aware of the
    different types of
    identity theft that are
    currently employed as
    well as how to identity
    the signs of identity
    theft and ways and means
    of reducing the risk of

    consideration be given to
    those cases of neurotic
    disorder which arise
    because of the problems
    which exist between

    is essentially the
    listening to, and the
    talking with clients
    whose problems and
    anxieties have become too
    great a burden to cope
with alone. Its aim is to
    help the troubled
    individual to understand
    and to resolve their
    predicament. About
    Psychotherapy Most
    therapy which is carried
    out is brief, which can
    mean anything from one to
    twenty-five sessions. A
    training course should
    teach a therapist to work
    briefly. This

    to train the student to

    Disorders
    Course Persons
    suffering from compulsive
    behaviour disorders are
    usually subjected to
    advice and guidance which
    is somewhat one-sided,
    often based on ignorance
    of the subject in
    question and knowledge of
    the areas of help
    available. This course
    is formulated and
    facilitated for the
    interest of the more

    Professional
    Course What is
    economics about?
    Economics is the problem
    of using the available
    resources as efficiently
    as possible so as to
    achieve the maximum
    fulfilment of society's
    unlimited demand for
    goods and services. The
    ultimate purpose of
    economic endeavour is to
    satisfy human wants for
    goods and
    services. The problem
    is that whereas wants are
    virtually without limit,
    the resources - natural
    resources, labour and
    capital (machinery) -
    available at any one time
    to produce goods and
    services are limited in
    supply. Resources are
    scarce. This fact of
    scarcity means that we
    must always be making
    choices about what to
    produce, how to produce
    it and for
    whom. Decisions must
    be made so that these
    scarce resources are
    allocated optimally or
    efficiently to their end
    use. This implies they
    could not be used more
    beneficially elsewhere.
    This is the criterion
    economists use to judge
    many economic phenomenon
and is the focus of our
    study of the economic
    approaches to
    organisations.

    Romantic Relationships
    course is designed to
    create an evolution in
    the levels of
    introspection, emotional
    awareness, and
    communicative skills,
    needed to make
    relationships the
    healthy, self teaching,
    and lasting experiences
    they so often could
    be. Couples with
    mainly unconscious energy
    running through their
    relationship run a high
    risk of experiencing
    repeated difficulties
    that eventually lead to
    the ending of the
    relationship. What is
    more painful, is that
    many times both partners
    still care deeply, and
    even still feel love for
    one another, and are at
    a loss of knowing what
    went wrong. If only
    they had the knowledge

Conservation
Conservation
    Conservation Course Man
    is creating an urban
    environment where so many
    goods are being
    concentrated that
    consumer desire,
    comparable to predatory
    instinct, is being over
    stimulated. From the
moment a child can hear a
    radio or watch a
    television, this
    instinct is being
    stimulated and exploited
    by loud, noisy radio and
    television advertisements
    and garish neon signs and
    posters. These adverts do
    not merely beg person to
    buy, they aim to
    convince people that they
    need these things and
    cannot possibly live
    without them. This is the
    outcome of mass
    production that must find
    avenues to sell the
    goods. True, these
    methods create
    employment, but the fact
    remains, they are using
    up the earth's animal and
    mineral resources at an
    alarming rate. About
    Conservation Conservation
is the wise use of the
    earth's resources, so
    that they can support,
    or sustain, the
    generations yet to come.
This can be done in many
    ways and in different
    situations.

Relaxation Therapy
Relaxation Therapy
    Relaxation Therapy
    Course No human being
    can function without
    stimulation and
    challenges, and stress
    and stressful situations
    very often produce this
    challenge. It provides
    the excitement, impetus
    and motivation but
    unfortunately, also the
    distress and anxiety. If
    we have the ability to
    get ready for action,
    our bodies also have the
    built-in ability to
    relax. Through the
    parasympathetic nervous
    system and quieting of
    the endocrine system,
    this ability is the
    body's natural tendency
    to restore to
    homeostasis. The
    continued, fast-paced
    lifestyle very often
    keeps the stress-response
    activated. These people
    are then physically,
    mentally and emotionally
    unable to relax and are
    in need of therapy.
    Relaxation Therapy
    techniques are useful
    skills which can be used
    to fight the stress demon
    of our times.

Transactional Analysis
    Transactional Analysis
    Course Eric Berne,
    the originator of T.A.,
    isolated and defined a
    basic unit of social
    intercourse - a
    transaction. If two or
    more people encounter
    each other, sooner or
    later one of them will
    speak or acknowledge the
    presence of the others -
    a transactional
    stimulus. Another will
    then say or do something
    which is in some way
    related to that stimulus
    - a transactional
    response. In this course
    the student is given the
    opportunity to study and
    examine this transaction

    learn how to determine
    which part of the
    multi-natured individual
    is being activated.

    the subject of a number
    of international
    standards and schemes.
    The first national
    environmental management
    standard, BS7750, was
    published in 1992 and the
    European Union (or
    Community as it was then
    called) adopted the same
    basic approach in 1993
    with the introduction of
    its Eco-Management and
    Audit Scheme (EMAS). An
    international standard,
    ISO 14001, replaced BS
    7750 in 1996. In this
    course we look at how
    these standards and
    schemes have developed,
    the differences between
    them, and what benefits
    an organisation can
    expect to gain from
    adopting a recognised
    EMS. While neither ISO
    14001 nor EMAS prescribe
    the level of
    environmental performance
    to be achieved, they do
    require a commitment to
    continual improvement.
    The extent of this
    improvement is for the
    individual organisation
    to decide and should be
    quantified in objectives
    and targets where
    practicable. At first
    glance, continual
    improvement may appear to
    be a particularly onerous
    commitment, but it is
    vital if the
    environmental management
system is to be seen as
    credible by interested
    parties. This course
    looks at the importance
    and benefits of continual
    improvement, how it can
    be achieved, and how
    some of the barriers to
    its achievement can be
    overcome. Any
    organisation undertaking
    a programme of continual
    improvement needs not
    only to establish
    procedures for its work
    processes but also to
    regard all procedures,
    and the processes to
    which they relate, as
    being capable of
    improvement. This course
    focuses on what is
    involved in improving
    work procedures and
    processes in order to
    reduce the environmental
    impacts of your
    organisation. A sudden
    environmental crisis -
    such as a large fire,
    explosion, release of
    toxic gas or major water
    pollution incident - is
    probably the most feared
    occurrence by individuals
    with responsibility for
    an organisation's
    environmental
    performance. However,
    slow-acting pollution
    incidents can create a
    crisis that damages not
    only the environment but
    also the organisation,
    both financially and in
    terms of its
    reputation - and the
    reputation of its
    products - among the
    public. Emergency
    planning is required to
    deal with any incident
    that could result in loss
    of life, ill health or
    damage to the
    environment.

    this course, you will be
    introduced to
    biochemistry, which is
    the study of the chemical
    processes which take
    place in living
    cells. People are
    sometimes deterred from
    studying this subject by
    the thought of the

    which it is based. This
    course aims to show that
    it is quite possible to
    achieve an understanding
    of some of the
    fundamental concepts in
    biochemistry without
    building on a basis of
    pure science. The
    approach will be practice
    related, with an
    emphasis on selected
    areas of the subject

    patients and clients. No

Biology Fast Track A Level (Full AS+A2)
Biology Fast Track A Level
(Full AS+A2)
    Biology A Level About
    A Levels A levels are
    subject-specific
    qualifications normally
    studied after GCSEs or
    International GCSEs,
    though they are
    appropriate at any age to
    gain a qualification in a
    subject in which you are
    interested. The
    qualification is made up
    of two levels: the AS
    level and the A2 level.
The AS level is the first
half of a full A level
    and is a qualification on
    its own. The A2 level
    builds on the knowledge
    gained from both the AS
    level, as well as the
    GCSE level. Both the AS
    and A2 levels and
    examinations must be
    successfully completed to
    gain a full A
    level. Students usually
    take 1 year to complete
the AS and a further year
    to complete the A2 - so a
    full A level usually
    takes two years. This
    fast track A level,
    however, lets you
    complete the course in
    half the time (i.e. one
    year instead of two
    years). The fast track A
    level works in exactly
the same way and you get
    the same certificate as
    you would on the two-year
    course. A levels are
    highly valued by schools,
    colleges and employers.
They are at level 3 on
    the National
    Qualifications Framework
    and they carry UCAS
    points, which will be
    awarded according to the
    grade achieved (A = 120,
    B = 100, C = 80). Many
    courses at university or
    college will require you
    to take A levels in
    certain subjects. We
    recommend you check the
    requirements for those
    courses and take the
    appropriate subject A
    levels. About Our A
    Level Biology
    Course This course is
made up of the AS level
and the A2 level. It is
    based on two
    approaches: 1)
    The concept-led approach
    includes study of the
    laws, theories and
    models of biology,
    exploring the practical
    application of these in
    both knowledge and with
    reference to everyday
    life. 2)      The
    context-led approach
    considers applications of
    biological knowledge and
    looks at the underpinning
    concepts. This course
    offers both approaches in
    combination. This mixed
    approach is more
    appropriate for distance
    learning students as
    there is a need for
    flexibility. The
    assessment criteria and
    structure is the same for
    both approaches. After
    each topic there will be
    a tutor marked
    assignment, which can be
    emailed to your tutor as
    an attachment in Word,
    Works or RTF format. You
    will be sent a welcome
    letter by your tutor, as
    soon as you make contact,
    which will outline
    assignment submission in
    more detail. There is a
    project element to both
the AS award and A2 award
    which expect distance
    learning students to
    reflect on practical
    biological knowledge as
    well as theoretical. The
    AS project will be based
    upon a field visit; the
    A2 project upon an
    individual experiment.
    Neither requires students
    to have laboratory
    access. Your AS project
    will be marked and
    moderated by an
    independent coursework
    marker at the centre
    where you sit your
    examinations. There may
be a fee for the marking.
    All distance learning
    students should download
    the Private Candidates
    Handbook from Edexcel's
    website which gives you
    guidance on finding an
    examination centre and
    registering.
    International students
    need to download the
    specific handbook for
    them, which will give
    alternative examination
    arrangements and other
    details. Your A2 project
    will be marked externally
    and moderated by
    Edexcel. The whole
    course is based on
    assessment objectives and
    combines a number of
    learning outcome
    expectations. The
    assessment objective
    weightings for the AS
    award are as follows:
    AO1 Knowledge and
    understanding of science
    and of How Science
    Works 30-34%
    AO2 Application of
    knowledge and
    understanding of AO3
    science and of How
    Science Works 34-40%
    AO3 How Science
    Works 28%
    Total 100% The
    assessment objective
    weightings for the A2
    award are as follows:
    AO1 Knowledge and
    understanding of science
    and of How Science
    Works 26-30%
    AO2 Application of
    knowledge and
    understanding of AO3

Naturopathy
Naturopathy
    Naturopathy Course The
    principles of naturopathy
    state that the body has
    the ability to heal
    itself by its vital
    force; disease is the
    resistance by this force
    to abnormal conditions in
    the body, disturbing the
    normal functioning of its
    organs and tissues and,
    naturopathy is a holistic
    treatment which

Spirituality
Spirituality
    Spirituality
    Course Participating
    in this course will give
    the student an awareness
    and understanding of how,
    within the concept of
    this theory, the
    individual is encouraged
    to find a dimension
    beyond 'self'. A
    person suffering from
    neurosis or addictive
    disorders or whose
    behavior is seen to be
    problematic has lost
    himself to the demands of
    something which is beyond
    his control. It controls
    him - rather than the
    reverse. To fully
    recover, to overcome the
    problem, the individual
    must transcend both
    himself and the problem
    by developing and
    maintaining a belief
    beyond and greater than
    both.

    of things you do without

Dowsing for Health
Dowsing For Health
    Dowsing for Health
    Course Dowsing is an
    ability we all have and
    can connect with. It is
    present within each of us
    since birth. It is used
as a way of bringing our
    rational awake
    consciousness into
    present communication
    with our own intuition
    and inner
    knowledge. When we
    explore and interpret the
    world around us we tend
    to depend on our five
    primary senses. These
    are, smell, taste,
    touch sight and hearing.
As we are so dependant on
    the information given by
    these five senses we tend
    to lessen our observation
    that serves as our inner
    knowing-knowledge by
    using them so logically
    and without
    question. This course
    is an invitation to
    enable us to explore a
    uniquely personal and yet
    easy path towards
    creating better health
    and well being both for
    ourselves, and others
around us. In it you will
    be guided through,
    opening up the doorway to
    your inner wisdom. This
    will enable you to learn
    to understand what the
body needs in order to be
    healthy and how best to
    stimulate your mind in a
way that is of benefit to
    you.

Sociology Fast Track A Level (Full AS+A2)
Sociology Fast Track A Level
(Full AS+A2)
    Sociology A Level About
    A Levels A levels are
    subject-specific
    qualifications normally
    studied after GCSEs or
    International GCSEs,
    though they are
    appropriate at any age to
    gain a qualification in a
    subject in which you are
    interested. The
    qualification is made up
    of two levels: the AS
    level and the A2 level.
The AS level is the first
half of a full A level
    and is a qualification on
    its own. The A2 level
    builds on the knowledge
    gained from both the AS
    level, as well as the
    GCSE level. Both the AS
    and A2 levels and
    examinations must be
    successfully completed to
    gain a full A
    level. Students usually
    take 1 year to complete
the AS and a further year
    to complete the A2 - so a
    full A level usually
    takes two years. This
    fast track A level,
    however, lets you
    complete the course in
    half the time (i.e. one
    year instead of two
    years). The fast track A
    level works in exactly
the same way and you get
    the same certificate as
    you would on the two-year
    course. A levels are
    highly valued by schools,
    colleges and employers.
They are at level 3 on
    the National
    Qualifications Framework
    and they carry UCAS
    points, which will be
    awarded according to the
    grade achieved (A = 120,
    B = 100, C = 80). Many
    courses at university or
    college will require you
    to take A levels in
    certain subjects. We
    recommend you check the
    requirements for those
    courses and take the
    appropriate subject A
    levels. About Our A
    Level Sociology Studies
    Course This A level
    Sociology course aims to
    give you some fundamental
    and lasting insights into
    how human societies are
    constructed; how they
    influence our beliefs and
    daily lives. Sociology is
    about developing a
    critical understanding of
    society, and through
    this understanding
    providing a basis for
    highlighting and
    explaining social
    problems such as ill
    health, poverty and
    crime. As well as
    learning about how
    society influences
    individual lives, you
    will also learn how to
    express yourself
    coherently, how to
    challenge and evaluate
    information presented to
    you and how scientific
    information is
    produced. The course
    lays an appropriate
    foundation for further
    study of Sociology and
    related subjects in
    higher education. In
    addition, it provides a
    worthwhile course for
    candidates of various
    ages and from diverse
    backgrounds in terms of
    general education and
    lifelong learning.
    Equally, material
    studied would be useful
    for candidates intending
    to pursue careers in any
    of the Social
    Sciences. Sociology is a
    dynamic, ever changing
    subject with new
    information and studies
    constantly confirming or
    challenging existing
    theories and producing
    new ones. The subject
    matter of sociology is
    uniquely around and
    within you, it is
    essential that you are
    curious about the why’s
    and how’s of society's
    processes in all settings
    from cradle to grave,
    from peer groups to
    institutions like schools
    and the class system. The
    purpose of this course is
    to help students look
    around them in a more
    analytical manner, to
    understand and question
    why things are the way
    they are, and what can
    be done to change the
    more negative aspects of
    our society. What Can I
    Do After Completing This
    A Level in
    Sociology? Getting A
    levels can provide you
    with a variety of
    options, such as work,
    further study or an
    apprenticeship. After
    successful completion of
    this course, you could
    apply to university,
    a BTEC Higher National,
    NVQ, a BTEC
    Apprenticeship or a
    mixture of these
    qualifications. If you
    are applying to a
    UK university you are
    likely to apply through
    the University and
    College Admission Service
    (UCAS). You can find out
more about UCAS and how A
    levels are valued by

half of a full A level
    and is a qualification on
    its own. The A2 level
    builds on the knowledge
    gained from both the AS
    level, as well as the
    GCSE level. Both the AS
    and A2 levels and
    examinations must be
    successfully completed to
    gain a full A
    level. Students usually
    take 1 year to complete
the AS and a further year
    to complete the A2 - so a
    full A level usually
    takes two years. This
    fast track A level,
    however, lets you
    complete the course in
    half the time (i.e. one
    year instead of two
    years). The fast track A
    level works in exactly
the same way and you get
    the same certificate as
    you would on the two-year
    course. A levels are
    highly valued by schools,
    colleges and employers.
They are at level 3 on
    the National
    Qualifications Framework
    and they carry UCAS
    points, which will be
    awarded according to the
    grade achieved (A = 120,
    B = 100, C = 80). Many
    courses at university or
    college will require you
    to take A levels in
    certain subjects. We
    recommend you check the
    requirements for those
    courses and take the
    appropriate subject A
    levels. About Our A
    Level Business Studies
    Course The course has
    been designed to provide
    students with an
    understanding of the
    following: how businesses
    work; how the world
    around them affects
    decision-making within a
    business; what leads to
    change and how businesses
    respond to these issues;
    and the range of
    perspectives that can be
    taken on business
    activities. It also
    helps develop a range of
    important and
    transferable skills: data
    skills; presenting
    arguments and making
    recommendations on the
    basis of the available
    evidence; and problem
    solving. What Can I Do
    After Completing This A
    Level in
    Business? Getting A
    levels can provide you
    with a variety of
    options, such as work,
    further study or an
    apprenticeship. After
    successful completion of
    this course, you could
    apply to university,
    a BTEC Higher National,
    NVQ, a BTEC
    Apprenticeship or a
    mixture of these
    qualifications. If you
    are applying to a
    UK university you are
    likely to apply through
    the University and
    College Admission Service
    (UCAS). You can find out
more about UCAS and how A
    levels are valued by
    Further and Higher
    education institutes on
    the UCAS
    website. Financing Your

Debt Buster
Debt Buster
    Debt Buster Course If
you are in debt, you are
    not alone. Millions of
    people all over the world
    are suddenly finding
    themselves in difficult
    financial situations. For
    many of us, our finances
    are delicately poised and
    just one tiny change in
    circumstances can tip us
    from being able to cope
    into becoming
    bankrupt. By taking
    this programme, you have
    recognised the need to
    act. That is a great
    first step. In fact, it
    is half the battle. The
    vast majority of people
    refuse to seriously look
    at their finances and try
to bury their head in the
    ground. Tackling it head
on is by far the  most

E-Business and the Consumer
E-Business And The Consumer
    E-Business and the
    Consumer Course In
    this course, we focus on
    the implications and
    opportunities that a
    business will face in
    marketing an e-business
    proposition to its
    customer base. Although
    the Internet can present
    a cost-effective global
    platform upon which to do
    business, marketing must
    still be a priority as
    customers will not
    automatically find what
    they need on-line.
    Successful e-businesses
    need to spend
    considerable effort and
    finance in ensuring that
    their on-line marketplace

Reflexology
Reflexology
    Reflexology
    Course "After all,
    health is only two feet
    away!" Reflexology is
    one of the fastest
    growing holistic
    therapies now gaining
    worldwide acceptance. It
    is based on the
    scientific principle that
    every organ in the body
    is reflected in certain
    reflexes in the
    feet. About
    Reflexology The feet are
    a microcosm of the human
    body. By manipulating the
    reflex areas on the feet,
    energy congestion in the
    body is released. Correct
    stimulation of the feet
    reflexes, while the
    client is relaxed,
    improves the energy flow
    and the blood
    supply. This results in
    an overall feeling of
    well-being and this
    enables the body to
    function efficiently.
    Reflexology is a
    completely safe, natural
    aid to restoring the
    body's healthy balance.

Nature and Role of Marketing Analysis (Byte Size Skills Course)
Nature And Role Of Marketing
Analysis (Byte Size Skills
Course)
    Nature and Role of
    Marketing Analysis The
    analysis of the market is
    an important part of any
    overall evaluation or
    implementation of a
    marketing strategy. The
    techniques employed by
    analysts can be used to
    assess the correct
    marketing mix, changing
    market structures,
    support or reject
    hypotheses that have been
    proposed and forecasting
    or estimating market
    potential, to name but a
    few. This course looks at
    the differences within
    data, the range of data
    that can be encountered
    in marketing analysis and
    some of the main
    techniques used in the
    evaluation of such
    data. A marketing
    analyst makes use of a
    wide selection of
    techniques from the
    quantitative methods in
    order to explain the
    market, forecast
    elements of the market
    and support management
    and corporate decision
    making. The course
    will examine techniques
    from the quantitative
    methods which find widest
    use in the analysis of
    markets, such as
    hypothesis testing,
    which can be used to
    examine data and
    statistics from samples
    with a view to supporting
    or rejecting assumptions
    about the market
    population. Regression
    and correlation will be
    examined as techniques
    that can be employed to
    assess the existence and
    strength of relationships
    within a market and also
    their use as a possible
    forecasting tool.
    Finally, an introduction
will be made to a range
    of multivariate
    techniques, which have
    found widest use in
    marketing analysis in the
    analysis of data from
    questionnaires. It is
    quite common to link the
    multivariate methods to
    enrich analyses. The
    section covering these
    methods will make use of
    a case study to
    demonstrate
    this. Modern
    approaches to analysis
    make wide use of
    questionnaires to obtain
    primary data and computer
    software to analyse data.
    The first section of this
    course will therefore
    introduce different types
    of data and the
    approaches to coding data
    for analysis. There
    exists a wide range of
    statistical packages to
    analyse data; probably
    the most widely used
    package in the UK is
    Statistical Package for
    Social Sciences (SPSS),
    which has been used to
    facilitate analyses for
    this course. By the
    end of this course you
    should be able
    to: Section 1
    Explain the use and
    application of
    variables. Distinguish
    between the different
    principal types of
    variables. Explain and
    identify four categories
    of data measurement.
    Understand the procedures
    for coding data.
    Distinguish between the
    methods of summarising
    data using location and
    dispersion
    measures. Section
    2 Calculate a
    standard Z score. Set
    up a confidence interval
    with known parameters.
    Appreciate what is meant
    by an hypothesis and
    understand the difference
    between a null hypothesis
    and an alternative
    hypothesis. Undertake
    an hypothesis test and
    appreciate the importance
    of significance in
    hypothesis testing.
    Undertake a chi-square
    test on two-dimensional
    data (hypothesis on non-
    parametric
    data). Section
    3 Understand the
    nature of bivariate data
    and straight-line
    relationships. Measure
    the strength of linear
    relationships between
    variables using
    coefficients of
    correlation and
    determination.
    Determine a least squares
    regression equation and
    line. Estimate and
    forecast future data
    values using technique of
    interpolation and
    extrapolation. Be
    familiar with one
    approach to the analysis
of a time series set of
    data. Section
    4 Explain the
    concept of multivariate
    analysis in marketing.
    Describe the application
and use of a range of
    multivariate methods as
    individual techniques.
    Describe the application
and use of a range of
    multivariate techniques
    linked in an analysis.

Criminology
Criminology
    Criminology Course The
    interdisciplinary nature
    of criminology makes it a
    difficult term to define.
    There are several ways of
    looking at it, which
    depend on the background
of the person by whom it
    is being
    defined. Criminology
    is: "... knowledge
    concerning the etiology,
    prevention, control and
    treatment of crime and
    delinquency. This
    includes the measurement
    and detection of crime,
    legislation and practice
    of criminal law, as well
    as the law enforcement,
    judicial and correctional
    systems." In brief,
    the study of Criminology
    deals primarily with
    crime and punishment and
    our understanding of
    crime in the social
    context. About Our
    Criminology
    Course Throughout this
    criminology distance
    learning course you will
    learn how to define
    crime, what causes crime

    and what impact this has
    on laws that are passed
    to mitigate the effects
    of crime. You will then
move on to look at a

Franchising
    Franchising
    Course Franchising is
    neither an industry nor a
    business. It is a
    practical concept for the
    effective distribution of
    profits and/or services.
    Recently this way of
    doing business has become
    increasingly
    popular. This is
    because franchising
    combines the positive
    qualities of large
    organisations with those
    of small businesses. We
    can define this as fusing
    the commitment and energy
    of individuals with big

    Accounting
    Course Accounting is
    designed to help those
    with an interest in a
    business, or other
    organisation, to assess
    its financial position
    and performance. It aims
    to communicate relevant
    economic information to
    interested parties and,
    as a result, improve the
    quality of decisions that
    are made. Unless
    accounting achieves this
    purpose, it would really
be a waste of effort to
    provide the information.
    In this course we
    consider the major

    are produced by
    businesses on a regular
    basis to help in the
    decision making process.
    These financial
    statements are designed
    to provide an overview of
    the business's financial
    health and are widely
    used by managers,
    owners, suppliers,
    customers and
    others. About Accounting
    Course We consider the
    main principles
    underpinning these
    statements as well as
    their strengths and
    weaknesses. In addition.
    We consider how these
    statements can be
    analysed in order to come
    to some conclusions about
    the financial health of a
    business. This accouting
    course requires no
    previous knowledge of
    accounting or finance.

Marketing
Marketing
    Marketing
    Course Marketing is
    concerned with
    identifying and
    satisfying customers' and
    consumers' needs. Its aim
    is to ensure that the
    business is able to
    anticipate changes in
    these needs, and to gain
    and retain customers
    efficiently and
    profitably. Although
    marketing is concerned
    with satisfying these
    needs, its scope goes
    far beyond the process of
    selling goods and
    services. Indeed, to be
    truly effective, the
    marketing process needs
    to be present throughout
    the entire business
    process, building on a
    broad understanding of
    the markets which the
    business serves,
    designing into the
    product or service the
    characteristics which
    consumers and customers
    will find attractive and
    ensuring that the entire
    business adopts policies
    and strategies that cater
    for their needs. About
    our Marketing
    Course Marketing is
    sometimes presented as a
    discrete, specialised
function or as a set of
    techniques. But as this
    marketing course will
    make clear, a more
    appropriate understanding
    of marketing only emerges
when it is viewed as a
    business philosophy or as
    a principle around which
    the business can be
    organised and managed.

Mushroom Growing
Mushroom Growing
    Mushroom Growing
    Course Over the past
    30 years the popularity
    and consumption of
    mushrooms has expanded in
    leaps and bounds
    worldwide. Mushrooms are
    relatively easy to grow,
and with the advent of a
    range of home growing
    kits, the home mushroom
    farm has become a reality
    for many a home
    gardener. This course
    has been written to teach
    mushroom growing in a way
    which will be relevant to
    any country. It puts
    aside regional techniques
    and tries to teach you
    principles and concepts
    which can be applied to
    anywhere. This course
    also teaches you the
    principles and not just
    black and white facts.

    Landscaping Course Do
    you watch the TV
    gardening programmes and
    wonder how you could be
    as diverse as the

    different garden designs
    they come up with? Our
    course in Landscaping

skills to set you on this
    road to success. The
    course aims to develop a
    solid understanding of
    the principles and
    procedures underlying the
    design and development of
    garden areas. The subject
    is relevant to both
    public and private
    landscaping and equally
    of value in developing
    home gardens or public
    parks. Though
    consideration is given to
    both design and
    construction, the
    emphasis throughout the
    course is landscape

Art of Combining Photography and Painting
Art Of Combining Photography
And Painting
    Art of Combining
    Photography and Painting
    Course This course is
    primarily for people who
    want to extend their
    creative horizons. Even
    those who have no
    painting skills and have
    little knowledge of
    photography can learn
    this craft. It does not,
    however, preclude those
    who already possess
    photography or painting
    skills. Imagination and
    ingenuity are the chief
    requisites for creating
    beautiful images - images
    that use techniques
    described in
    unpretentious prose along
    with easy to follow
    diagrams and
    instructions. Throughout,
    no sophisticated
    photographic equipment is
    required. Like any craft,
    whether a person can use
    these skills
    professionally is
    dependent upon the
    prowess of the artist.
    The course describes how
    to create beautiful
    miniatures and portraits
    as well images both
    surreal and abstract.
    Through art one
    learns the meaning of
    life. (Ernst Kris,
    psychoanalyst.)
