Three Bridges 1909
Three Bridges in 1909 in a fascinating series of reproductions of old Ordnance Survey plans in the Alan Godfrey Editions, ideal for anyone interested in the history of their neighbourhood or family. The map is dominated by the railway which runs north-south through it, with branches running off west and east at Three Bridges Junction. Railway detail includes tracks, signal posts, turntables, engine sheds. West of the station are High Street, Hazelwick Road and North Road, and the map extends eastward to Blackwater Wood, Pound Hill, Burleys Wood, Crabbet Park and, at the foot of the map, part of the village of Worth, including the church. On the reverse is a directory of Worth in 1905, together with a railway timetable for the London - Three Bridges - Tunbridge Wells line in
