It is exceptionally easy to use & requires only two external resistors to set the output voltage. Besides having a higher performance compared with fixed regulators the LM337 offers full overload protection with current limiting thermal overload protection & safe area protection. All overload protection circuitry remains fully functional even if the adjustment terminal is disconnected.
