Called 'Checkers' this is another pure silk design inspired by the op-art of the first half of the 20th century - Victor Vasarely particularly. Here rendered in rich deep red tones
A lovely Paisley derived design with nicely spaced flowing tendrils, exotic stylised flower devices and pods, in two aquamarines to give a decorative and bright patterned tie in 100% Italian silk.
My favourite tie of the season is this rather 60s 'op-art' design with a rhombus made of adjacently light and dark tones to give a three dimensional effect. Known as 'Festival' it perhaps suggests the bold, brave, modernist outlook of The Festival Hall and South Bank complex, which I happen to love. 100% silk.
