The colours are very saturated, recalling those in Victorian circus posters which this design celebrates

A shirt which pays tribute to the world of vintage botanical illustrations. I find the care, in fact, devotion, to the subject one finds in these artworks compelling. This one features some clustered fruits, the seed head of a poppy, pea pod, pine cone & other forms of fecund, final development. Looking at this design in detail, it's easy to see why life expectancy in Victorian Britain was short. They caked themselves to death. They do all look delicious, however, & as I'm typing this at 5.00pm a nice slice of Apples la Parisienne would be just the ticket. The cake stands are attractive in their own right, & there's a quality to the hand tinted colours that is very appealing. From afar, this is almost a geometric neat design, making it very wearable.
