Last word in velvet jackets I've used fabric by Pontoglio of Italy, who makes simply the finest velvet in the world. The design is inspired by Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations for his Yellow book. There's a hint of decadence & luxury.

Tucking nicely into the new season's focus on the theme of 'circus' this shirt features vintage trapeze artistes doing their thing amongst long, skinny wires. It's nice how a certain delight & freedom has been taken in drawing the apparatus to form an elegant quasi-striped ground on which the small, intensely coloured gymnasts arch & dive. The colours are very saturated, recalling those in Victorian circus posters which this design celebrates
- looking closely we can see that the costumes are indeed from that vivid age. A single button cuff shirt which is fresh & practical with a good dose of close-up fascination.

Serpents haven't always had the best of press, but the Victorians found elegant ways to celebrate their form & we've been inspired to produce a miniature version of just such a brooch. There are bags of detail; from the antique brass finish to the use of real turquoise & Swarovski crystals for the eyes. Watch him slither across your shirt cuff ...

For lovers of American automotive heritage, amongst whom I count myself. Here we have a nicely irregular gathering of 1920s American automobiles juxtaposed with postage stamps of the period & some background iconic elements, such as the head & torch bearing hand of the statue of liberty. With a, by now, familiar play of monochromatic & tinted drawn elements against a neutral ground this design dips into a nostalgia for the confidence & inventiveness of America between the wars. ' Jagger' single button cuff.

A shirt which pays tribute to the world of vintage botanical illustrations. I find the care, in fact, devotion, to the subject one finds in these artworks compelling. This one features some clustered fruits, the seed head of a poppy, pea pod, pine cone & other forms of fecund, final development. Bright, rich reds feature prominently, along with coppery greens, umber & ochre tones. Very beautiful. ' Jagger' single button cuff.
