Meiomi is a native American word for coast, & it is along Californias coastal areas where winemaker Joseph J. Wagner has sourced his fruit, from a range of vineyard sites that each add specific elements to the blend. Fruit from Sonoma is said to offer plenty of round fruit & lush texture, while fruit from Santa Barbara & Monterey are employed for more earthy, spicy characters. Unified by 9 months in French oak barrels, the result is an opulent, complex & luxurious Pinot.
