The Marker Kingpin 13 is 3 years in the making, and is set to change the way we look at ski touring bindings. Suitable for tech compatible ski touring boots, this is the 100mm brake version. Due late December 2014. PLEASE NOTE: Prices are not yet confirmed! These are our estimates based on the current exchange rate and competitor pricing. If you are interested in buying this binding please enter your email address below in the buying options field and we will email you as soon as we are able to receive any in our warehouse! The Kingpin is DIN ISO 13992-2007 certified - the first pin binding to achieve this, and TUV SUD test standards approved, making it one of the safest ski touring bindings available. The versatility of the design is such that it is capable in high alpine, ski touring and free touring situations, and performs excellently on the runs to resort too. Unbeatable power transmission is offered from the unique heel design that combines technologies from Markers successful Royal Family binding range with the requirements of a ski touring binding, incorporating easy walk height adjustment. THE KINGPIN NOSE The oversized nose plate and assembly design incorporates a SixPack spring retention system for enhanced comfort, easier handling on harder snow, and security underfoot. The extra wide screw pattern at 38mm passes energy to the edges - where it is needed. Quiver Killers can be fitted to these bindings - often tricky with some touring binding due to different screw profiles. There is a clever easy step-in system that deals with the historic issue of hovering your foot over the nose trying to line up your ski boot - this now takes seconds to master. The advanced Pin Tech Protection System keeps your foot solidly locked in when hiking, but also allows you to ski downhill in multi mode reducing the time needed to adjust, and for those times you forget to switch the system. THE KINGPIN HEEL The Kingpin heel features extra wide contact points which combine with the Kingpin boot heel plate perfectly, and the heel features, as with Royal Family bindings, a changeable brake, at a time when many brands are dropping this important feature. Change your skis and its no problem to change the brakes so you can swap your bindings over. Two different brakes are available for the KINGPIN (75-100 mm ski width and 100-125 mm ski width). Beyond the standard safety features, they are notable for one convenient feature: They automatically lock into place when in walk mode, and immediately reactivate when the binding is switched into ski mode. The brakes feature a notably large move-in, moving away from the traditional brake shape that sticks far out beyond the ski. The brakes are also quick and easy to replace. The climbing aid offers 2 optional heights over the flat position - 7 and 13 degrees, and can be adjusted on the fly with your ski pole. The heel offers lateral and vertical release to DIN standards for maximum protection of joints and reduction of risk of injuries. The heel construction is a revolution for any PinTech binding, with contact points placed very wide and far apart to hold the boot heel along a broad surface on its outermost edge. This eliminates any wobble in the tipping forces used to initiate turns and lets power be transmitted smoothly via the binding into the ski. Because skis are primarily steered using impulses originating in the heel, the KINGPIN heel pieces are highly decisive in achieving maximum, highl

An overlength spring is used for maximum sensitivity whilst further enhancing durability of the spring mechanism. DIN adjustment is quick and easy with ready access for quick adjustment by those qualified to do so. BEAST SPECIFIC BOOT HEEL INSERT The amazing strength and durability of the Beast binding requires an enhanced rear heel plate. The standard heel plate is removed and replaced with this extra-strong heel plate, with two additional anchor points created on the sides of the heel to allow perfect integration with the strengthened binding heel which features oversized and rotating locking pins. Edge & Wax offer a free installation service so that you can be assured that your boots only benefit from this small modification. OVERSIZED REAR PIVOT POINTS WITH DYNAMIC SHAPED PINS The rear heel piece pins are MONSTERS! These have been oversized, and have a unique shaping profile to combine with the strengthened heel plate. This shaping and the high strength of the pins gives a solid retention whilst offering a smooth pivot function to ensure release only happens when it needs to, and that the heel piece feels rock solid inspiring confidence. All this with incredibly light weight! BEAST BINDING ROTATION TOE PIECE The strength and durability of this lightweight binding is only surpassed by its functionality, with a rotating toe piece to prevent unwanted releases however extreme the conditions are. The rotation also allows for a much more natural feel underfoot whether skiing down the mountain or hiking up to the next section of powder. This is all achieved on a wide stance plate mounting, for enhanced load spread without loss of feedback fro

The heavy-duty touring binding. The overall construction is identical and comes with the same features as the Tour F 10, making this binding the ideal solution for heavier riders or those who need that bit of extra power for tougher terrain. Roughly 60 grams heavier than its lighter sibling the higher DIN range calls for fast turns and steep runs. Features AFD Gliding Plate: All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours. Triple Pivot Light Toe: The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole plates ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other Marker bindings. Why should tourers and freestylers make any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight. Hollow Linkage Heel: The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to guarantee optimal retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements. Back Country Comfort: The patented, ergonomically shaped lever under the boot allows comfortable opening and closing. The position prevents the binding from unwanted release and provides unparalleled security. Climbing Aid: The titanium climbing aid offers three positions with 0°, 7° and 13° which can easily be accessed with the ski pole, even in an unstable standing position. Integrated elastomer paddings dampen the impact reducing the irritating traditional “clack” and allow more comfortable hiking. Hollow Tech: Our fibre-reinforced frame base plate provides impressive riding stability and is yet very light due to the gas injected hollow construction. Touring Base Plate: The wide frame construction is secured at several positions, perfectly distributing the pressure for unparalleled skiing performance. 2 sizes are available for optimum size range and stocking efficiency. The freeride influence on touring skis can’t be ignored any longer. Touring skiers have been opting for significantly wider skis, to handle the more radical terrain they’ve been tackling. It makes sense that MARKER’s proven touring technology has now been given a corresponding wider substructure — the Tour EPF is the most powerful touring binding MARKER’s ever offered. New for 13/14 is the Tour 12 EPF, extending the downhill skiing ability of this exceptional uphill climbing product. The addition of the Extended Power Frame (EPF) found on the Duke EPF and new Baron EPF gives Marker something totally unique to the market, a full suite of climbing-enabled bindings with unparalleled power transmission. Features Extended Power Frame Bigger, better and 28% wider. The screw pattern is 10 mm wider than before, providing unbelievable power transmission – how many people are skiing on wider skis than 5 years ago? EPF Extended Power Frame is designed for skis 89mm and wider. Backcountry Technology The uphill hiking mode integrated in the Tour EPF binding features easy adjustment from ride to hike. The hiking aid offers a 7° and 13° position. In ski mode the BCT lever is protected from unwanted releases. A 40 mm backward movement of the binding in BC mode results in a better balanced swing weight and easier kick turns. Triple Pivot Light Toe The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole holders ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other MARKER bindings. Why should touring skiers and freestylers accept any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight. Hollow Linkage Heel The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to optimize retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements. AFD Stainless Steel All MARKER bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) leading to a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours. Specification DIN range 4 - 12 Recom. For more aggressive skiing with the GUIDE binding and for heavier built skiers, the Plum Guide Heel Plates relieve the pressure on the two rear heel pins for increased strength and performance. As now fitted to the YAK bindings. These will mount to most GUIDE bindings from around 2011 onwards, if there is a small threaded hole at the front of the heel base plate, this is where these will mount. They are extremely light weight so for maximum protection of the heel piece we would suggest fitting these plates. Sold as a pair complete with mounting screw, and can be fitted and removed in seconds.
Limitless powder skiing on fantastic ungroomed slopes: The Diamir Freeride Pro leaves nothing to chance, offering highest walking comfort during the short climb, and all-out power transmission for the perfect run. From wide to wider, more able, and lighter - Today’s skis are evolving even more audaciously. They are not only ultra-wide and cleverly waisted but they also consistently gain in torsional rigidity. Despite their impressive width and stability, even true freeride skis are no heavyweights. Thanks to new materials and production methods, the weight can be minimized. Naturally, this revolutionizes the downhill feeling, but only if the binding can keep up. SPECIFICATION & FEATURES The newly developed technologies of the current Diamir models are clever tricks at high-tech level, ingenious yet simple. Like building blocks they are integrated into the various models, giving the bindings their very specific characteristics -according to the users’ needs: PTC Technology What distinguishes the new Diamir Freeride Pro is the latest Power Transmission Control (PTC) generation. It allows the power to be transmitted mercilessly onto the ski. In other words: PTC is the key to good edge grip along the entire length of the ski. This way, the Diamir Freeride Pro achieves a downhill performance that can stand comparison with any high-end alpine binding. Several elements ensure consistent and direct power transmission: At the front, the binding features a wide and torsion-resistant PTC front plate, which is further reinforced by a bridge. With its stabilizing profile, the PTC special plate at the rear ensures an optimal power curve. In addition, a stabilizer fixes the PTC end piece, providing significantly higher lateral stability. Gliding Technology Diamir Gliding Technology has revolutionized the walking comfort, making walking as natural and safe as never before.
The Marker Kingpin 10 is 3 years in the making, and is set to change the way we look at ski touring bindings. Suitable for tech compatible ski touring boots, this is the 125mm brake version. The advanced Pin Tech Protection System keeps your foot solidly locked in when hiking. Because skis are primarily steered using impulses originating in the heel, the KINGPIN heel pieces are highly decisive in achieving maximum, highly direct power transmission, top control and pure bliss in the descent. This is another key benefit over previous PinTech
Specification DIN Range: 4 - 12 Recom. The Axion 110 Crampon is a quick fitting and releasing crampon for the Fritschi Eagle and Freeride Pro series of bindings, for superb traction in all snow conditions. With the Axion crampon, the days of risky mounting manoeuvres in tough terrain are over. Because the Axion is fastened to the binding right at the start of the tour, it is ready for action at all times. In severe snow conditions before a steep slope or an awkward traverse, it can be activated easily with the ski pole, thus offering secure support. Once it is no longer needed, it is just as easy to deactivate. There is no need for the Axion to disappear into the rucksack before the skins come off. The Axion is the only crampon which is so convenient to use and for that very reason it makes a substantial contribution to safety.
The RADICAL FT speaks loud and clear: it is the perfect solution for ski mountaineers and freeriders who love descents. All the advantages are crystal clear: any other systems pales in comparison in terms of weight and performance. This is the 130mm brake option suitable for skis of up to around 125mm in width. The carbon plate stiffens by shifting the shock absorber forward into LOCK. In this position the rear rubber pieces work as dampeners, and the ski stiffens up. Also, this increases torsional rigidity between the carbon plate and binding front piece. And I have to say the last place I was expecting to skin up on them was in the fridge at Hemel Hempstead indoor slope!! First off the binding looks just like an alpine binding, this filled me with confidence when thinking of the downhill performance. With a chunky adjustable toe piece, so that you can use a “touring sole”, and the usual styling from the Salomon heel really makes this binding look the business. The binding also sits much lower on the ski than most of its competitors and it has a nice wide 80mm footprint on the toe so you will get a much more direct response from the set-up. Stepping into the binding and using it as a normal alpine binding you would be hard pressed to tell that you were using a touring/freeride binding as it skis like a solid performing alpine binding, with stunning control and power transmission. But for me this ski binding’s party piece, which sets it apart from its competitors, is the fact that you can fully operate the binding’s functions without taking your ski off. It is a simple case stabbing your pole on a large hike & ride switch at the rear of the binding which releases the heel piece, then flipping over the hike bar to the desired position and you are good to hike. To switch back into ride mode, just flip the hike bar back to its

This binding acheives what no other has managed to do up until now; it combines maximum walking comfort and stability without the slightest comromise in safety, and considering its superior performance, the Diamir Fritschi Eagle is also light and easy to handle. The Diamir touring and freeride bindings are produced in Reichenbach im Kandertal. The first ski bindings went into production in 1964. Since then the company has constantly devised new ideas and developed technical solutions. With its innovative products, Fritschi has been setting standards in winter mountain sports for decades. SPECIFICATION & FEATURES The newly developed technologies of the current Diamir models are clever tricks at high-tech level, ingenious yet simple. Like building blocks they are integrated into the various models, giving the bindings their very specific characteristics -according to the users’ needs: Gliding Technology Diamir Gliding Technology has revolutionized the walking comfort, making walking as natural and safe as never before. Natural Roll Off The Diamir Gliding Technology makes it possible to construct the binding with an optimally placed rotation point. Because this allows the foot to roll off naturally, walking comfort is substantially enhanced. A moving base plate guarantees complete freedom of movement, even in extreme situations where the natural walking angle is exceeded. At the same time, the Diamir Gliding Technology allows integration of the latest safety features. Rotating toe piece with long elasticity As with alpine bindings, the rotating toe piece offers a lateral release with an extraordinarily long elasticity of 20 mm to the left and right. Combined with the high restoring force, this reduces the number of unintentional releases to a minimum. Antifriction plate with integrated Teflon strips Safety taken further: the antifriction plate with high-quality Teflon strips allows the boot to slip off evenly and without friction – even touring ski boots with rubber soles. Automatic Heel release In order to ensure that you only come out of your ski in an emergency, the binding only releases after a long dynamic travel of 13 mm. A perfect fit ensures optimum foothold for all normed touring and alpine ski boots. Continuously variable micro screw The micro screw allows for precise regulation of contact pressure at continuously variable levels. Sliding Binding Bar With the Diamir binding systems, the boot is securely fixed onto the stable linkage of the binding bar between the toe piece and heel mechanism. The bar slides back and forth as the ski bends. This allows the best natural flex and thus always ensures full edge grip along the entire ski. Four Level Heel Height - Simplest operation The four angles of the heel elevator levels are perfectly co-ordinated to allow individual adjustment to every gradient when climbing. Changing from walk to downhill ski mode and vice versa is just as quick and simple as changing between walk mode levels. No matter what situation you are in, you can simply change the walk mode level using your ski pole. The Diamir bindings provide excellent lateral stability at every walk mode level so that your movement in the binding ensures a steady step at all times. DIN RANGE: 4 - 12 WEIGHT: 1970 g/pair including 80m

As light as it is sturdy! Featuring the brand new triple pivot light toe and hollow linkage heel this binding is the perfect choice for the touring skier who doesnt accept any compromise when it comes to weight, handling and reliability. Designed for the skier looking forward to the descent as much as the ascent and a general focus on light weight, the F10 won’t disappoint. Specification DIN Range: 3 - 10 Recom. Skiers Weight: 30 - 105 kg Stand height w/o ski: 36 mm Toe system: Triple Pivot Light AFD Gliding Plate: height adjustable Step-in Heel: Hollow Linkage Heel Special Features: touring function, climbing aid (7°/13°), no-pull-out screws Color Combinations: black - red - white Weight (pair): 1.710 g (S) / 1.745 g (L) w/o brake, with screws
