Limited stock. Planted on what was once an ocean floor, The Cutrer Vineyard stands hardly a dozen miles from the Pacific shore. Featuring sandy hillside soils that rise nearly 300 feet above sea level, the vineyard is carefully watched over. Judicious crop thinning, high-density spacing, & a wide variety of rootstocks ensure a balanced, fully developed wine with great concentration & an exquisitely rich yellow-gold hue flecked with green. Intense aromas of ripe apple are dotted with cinnamon & clove, as hazelnuts bathed in cream join fragrant notes of acacia blossoms. In the mouth, the wine is dense & concentrated, while simultaneously offering a softer, sensual side in balance. Flavours of baked apple appear alongside glazed pineapple & fresh tangerine, as a hint of clove entertains the taste buds. With its perfect backbone of acidity, the wine is fresh, alive & begging to be enjoyed again & again.
