The NH90 is the standard NATO helicopter for the 21st century. It contributes to a great extent to the interoperability of the armed forces of the European & allied nations abroad, within the framework of NATO & UN missions. On 13th December 2006 the first three tactical transport helicopters of the latest generation, the NH90 TTH, were handed over to the Federal German armed forces at the Eurocopter Works at Donauw?rth. The German armed forces are the first customer for the NH90. Thanks to its versatility the NH90, which can carry 16 to 20 soldiers plus their equipment, is suitable for all types of land & sea support missions, such as troop transport, amphibious applications, search & rescue (SAR) missions or defence against terrorism. The twin-engine NH90 has electronic flight control systems that make it the most up-to-date multipurpose helicopter in the world. The NH90 programme, with 400 firm orders to date, is the largest helicopter programme ever established in Europe. ...

Developed initially as a Strategic Long-Range Bomber, the Tu-95 was one of the most unique military aircraft. The Tu-95 R Ts (NATO designation " Bear" D) variant was developed for the Soviet Navy between 1959 & 1962 for use in the roles of electronic reconnaissance & target tracking of aircraft, surface ships & submarines. Mass production began in 1963 & from 1966 onwards the aircraft
- in co-operation with Soviet submarines
- were an integral part of the Navy's Inter-Continental Missile Attack System. Regular flights over the Atlantic & Pacific Oceans enabled an almost continuous surveillance & tracking of NATO Maritime Units as well as the ships of other Navy's. For over three decades the Tu-95 R Ts was an Icon of the " Cold War" due to its frequent presence within the vicinity of NATO Maritime Units. In 1990 the Naval Airborne Forces of the Soviet Union had over 37 Tu-95 R Ts' available. This is a Revell 1:24 scale model kit of a Ferrari California (open top), since 1945 Revell has been one of the the leaders in plastic model kits. The kit designers are passionate about scale model authenticity & model building. The Revell Ferrari California Open Top in 1/24 scale from the plastic car models range accurately recreates the real life Italian sports car. This plastic car kit requires paint & glue to complete. Early 2007 different speculations on a V8-model emerged from Modena but they didn't even come close to the new 8-cylinder model. As usual, this car has been developed by Pininfarina a 2+2 roadster & a lot of attention was paid to the aerodynamics. The result is a very aesthetic & at the same time enormously streamlined work of art. In breaking with its tradition, the California does not have a central engine but instead is equiped with an 8-cylinder, 4, 3 liter engine in the front, an absolute world premiere. This resulted in a roomier passenger compartment which also enhanced the general driveability. Also worth mentioning is the F1 Trac Evoluzione traction control system, originating from the Formula 1 & which determines the necessary optimum grip. Result: a 20 percent faster acceleration out of of a curve. Its seven-speed gear box accelerates it from 0 to 100 in just 4 seconds. ...
