Spending 13 years in a single sherry butt has created aromas of singed fruit cake, prunes, plums and coal smoke that fill the nose, backed up on the palate by notes of cherries, burnt rubber, sea salt, crunchy plums and peat smoke, with hints of seaweed, soft smoke and honey-glazed ham lingering in the finish.
