The Glenlivet 13 Year Old Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky matured in Oloroso Sherry Casks & bottled at 40% ABV Very rare to see 100% Oloroso cask matured whisky, & from the taste it seems to be all European oak! A unique age statement which lets the whisky be woody but isn't over oaked. Was released for the Taiwan market

Christmas cake with marzipan on top, lots of raisins, lots of orange peel & citrus notes. Cinnamon spice & delicate oak notes. With time chocolate notes come out & subtle hints of tobacco. Palate: Explosion of flavour. Sticky raisins & sultanas, the oranges are still there but with added spice. The tip of the tongue is sticky caramel, the sides are gingers & dark chocolate, the base is the european oak notes. Finish: Long & lingering, back on the tobacco notes & the oak.
