Auchentoshan American Oak was introduced in 2014 to replace the Classic. Triple distilled and matured solely in American bourbon casks. The result: a Lowland Single Malt Whisky with the sweet aromas of vanilla and coconut – along with the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste. Nose: Lemon and sour cream, with fresh grain and vanilla lemon cheesecake with buttery biscuit base. Grass and hay notes grow, along with lime peel, plasticine hints and milky porridge. Palate: Single cream up front, with grapefruit peel, coconut, cinnamon and clove. The grass and porridge notes from the nose rise, along with unripe peach, green apple and some oak spice. Finish: Spicy oak, cinnamon bark, lemon, lime and grapefruit peel.
