Glenmorangie Tarlogan displays all the sweet purity of the Tarlogie Spring while maintaining a classic Glenmorangie backbone. Aged in virgin oak as well as ex-bourbon casks. One of the world's best selling old single malts, Glenmorangie's spirit flows from Scotland's tallest stills, over 16 feet tall for those that are counting. Over the years Bill Lumsden has been at the forefront of research into the influence of the cask on whisky & as such Glenmorangie is the leading exponent of whisky 'finishes', be that sherry, wine or virgin oak. The distillery selects its wood from the Mark Twain forest in the Ozark mountains & ensures that the wood is air dried rather than kilned. Nose: Creamy & luxurious vanilla. A hint of virgin oak intensity & desiccated coconut. Palate: Chocolatey as it opens, before diving into clotted cream & honey. Finish: Cherry ice cream topped with almonds. A subtle touch of fresh kumquat. ...

Nose: Very light & estery: citrus fruits, vanilla, wet grass/gorse, floral, subtle oak tones. Palate: Charming, sweet, summery. Lemon, orange, coconut, vanilla, dried apple & beautifully-balanced light oak. Gentle, with stunning balance. Finish: Soft, oak, spices. ...
