The Glenfiddich Age of Discovery range was released just to the travel retail market until 2012 when the 19 year Old Madeira Cask was released to the UK retail market to great excitement & applause. However this meant that Glenfiddich needed a new Age of Discovery bottling to replace the excellent Madeira cask, so here we have it

- this is a great dram! Nose: Toffee & vanilla, followed by a fruity cocktail of apples & spiced orange. Palate: Caramel & vanilla. A touch of water adds nutmeg & cardamom notes Finish: Long with apple tart & warm spicy flavours.

It is still finished in rum casks for four months, but now has a more elegant presentation, as befits its position towards the top of the distillery's regular range. Whisky region: Speyside Cask type: Rum cask finish Nose: Honey, oak wood, slight rum impact with coconut, banana, caramel & coffee.
