Union Atlas Snowboard Bindings Stone Red 2014 Freestyle Binding New The Atlas Binding returns for 2014 and is as strong as ever. The Atlas is an updated version of the Force binding; giving you an even lighter binding with excellent response. Its baseplate features stage 3 carbon injected Dupont™ Zytel® ST material that is lighter and stronger that Aluminum. This has added fibreglass dependant on what size you choose more for bigger riders less for lighter riders. Bigger riders require stiffer bindings; so Union proportionally increase the fiberglass content from the smallest size to the biggest. For maximum comfort the baseplate is wrapped in dual density EVA padding with varying durometers dependant on size also. The stage 3 Atlas chassis only has 20% Binding to board contact area to
give you true board flex and lets your board flex as it was designed to. The highback has multi zone flexes with softer at the top and gradiually get stiffer towards the bottom to give you tweakability where you want it; support and durability where you need it. The highbacks is made of Dupont™ Zytel® ST material as well. The Extruded Anodized Aluminum Heelcups are completely indestructible and if you manage to break them Union will sort you out with a new part for free. The new 3D Multi-Layer tapered Strap Core evenly distributes strap pressure and will keep your boots comfotrably in place and the toe straps will go all the way forward if you want it to.
