With so many great artists in the Asymbol family, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one. It had to be someone whose artistic style & capability translated off the canvas. Someone who could work under pressure to deliver a great design that functioned as well as it looked. & it wouldn’t hurt if they’d taken home a famed Gold Duct Tape award at the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom… With that, we proudly present the limited-edition 2016/17 Asymbol x Union collab binding, designed by Adam Haynes. The Atlas Binding returns for 2014 & is as strong as ever. The Atlas is an updated version of the Force binding, giving you an even lighter binding with excellent response. Its baseplate features stage 3 carbon injected Dupont Zytel® ST material that is lighter & stronger that Aluminum. This has added fibreglass dependant on what size you choose more for bigger riders less for lighter riders. Bigger riders require stiffer bindings, so Union proportionally increase the fiberglass content from the smallest size to the biggest. For maximum comfort the baseplate is wrapped in dual density EVA padding with varying durometers dependant on size also. The stage 3 Atlas chassis only has 20% Binding to board contact area to give you true board flex & lets your board flex as it was designed to. The highback has multi zone flexes with softer at the top & gradiually get stiffer towards the bottom to give you tweakability where you want it, support & durability where you need it. The highbacks is made from Dupont Zytel® ST material as well. The Extruded Anodized Aluminum Heelcups are completely indestructible & if you manage to break them Union will sort you out with a new part for free. The new 3D Multi-Layer tapered Strap Core evenly distributes strap pressure & will keep your boots comfotrably in place & the toe straps will go all the way forward if you want it to.
