Features include Park House Penitentiary, Highgate Cemetery, Waterlow Park, Shepherds Hill, a stretch of the GNR High Barnet line including Highgate station & part of Crouch End station, St Pancras Infirmary, Holborn Union Infirmary, a workhouse & Archway. Streets include North Road, North Hill, The Grove, Pond Square, Hampstead Lane, Highgate Hill, Archway Road, St John`s Road. This 1869 map has a description of Highgate Cemetery from Walford`s Old & New London. About the Alan Godfrey Editions of the 25” OS Series: Selected towns in Great Britain & Ireland are covered by maps showing the extent of urban development in the last decades of the 19th & early 20th century.
