Migeon was a well-known & respected Parisian publisher of the mid-nineteenth century & his other works included La France Et Ses Colonies: Atlas Illustre, first published in 1851 (the same year that Tallis had published his illustrated atlas in England), & also a Nouveau Plan De Paris, En 20 Arrondissements in 1866. Stanfords was established in 1853 and opened their iconic Covent Garden flagship store in 1901.
