Beetroot is one of Godminster's most successful crops, & last year they decided to turn it into a chutney to accompany their cheddar. Mixing it with apples from their orchards, they came up with a chunky beetroot & apple chutney
- sweet to taste, not too vinegary, & with a deep violet colour, it complements cheese perfectly.
It comes in a reusable kilner jar & also goes very well with smoked meats & baked potatoes.
