Radio-controlled model sailing yacht to 1:10 scale The Smaragd (Emerald) is a large model which can be sailed even in quite strong winds, & in its basic version can be controlled with a simple two-channel radio control system. The carefully optimised arrangement of the sail area allows the boat to achieve the maximum speed possible from the hull design even in moderate winds & on all headings. If you enjoy making use of exotic auxiliary functions, you may fit an optional Genoa or Blister sail in place of the standard jib. The setting of the Genoa (enlarged foresail) is adjusted by means of an additional sailwinch, & it provides advantages above all in light to moderate winds on all tacks. The blister is a foresail with a generous belly, sewn in bands, whose spherical shape develops considerable thrust in light to moderate winds. In contrast to a spinnaker, which normally has to be lowered when the boat is luffing, the blister can be left deployed, as it can be used in a similar fashion to the Genoa when its luff is close-hauled via transmitter control. Optional Standard Sail area: approx. 80 dm 2 Sail area with Genoa: approx. 94 dm 2 Sail area with Blister: approx. 94 dm 2 Specification: Length: 1380 mm

True-to-life almost ready to run model of a river surveyor´s boat in 1:20 scale The original of the Bussard was used on the waterways in the Ruhr area by the water management authorities to carry out water checks for environmental purposes, to measure current speeds, to check & maintain channel markings & for many other different jobs. The model Size, appearance & features from the original provide the ideal template for the almost completely assembled model of the Bussard. In the case of the Bussard, almost completely assembled means that the boat has been factory assembled to the point that only some finishing work, such as applying decals & accessories & building in the remote control components need to be done by the owner. Even without any prior experience of modelling, it is possible to get the Bussard ready to go over a weekend. Thanks to the large-scale coloured decals which are part of the set, there is no need to paint this model. Specification: Length: 900 mm

Scale model of a German U-boat to 1:40 scale, with dynamic diving systemfittings & electric motors included During the development stage of our model of the U 47 we concentrated especially on maximum possible scale fidelity, & accurate reproduction of the detail features of the vessel. In spite of its impressive length of more than 1.7 m, the boat is highly manoeuvrable & has a good turn of speed. It features the dynamic method of submerging, & all these features make for a highly realistic model when in & under the water. An important feature of this imposing boat is the flooding slots in the outer skin, & these are factory-cut in order to shorten the building time. This eliminates the time-consuming work of drilling or machining these openings. Specification: Length: 1700 mm

Scale model of the type XXI submarine to 1:40 scale for dynamic diving The U-boat U2540 was built at the Blohm und Voss yard in Hamburg in 1944, & the vessel was commissioned in January 1945. During the crew training phase in early May 1945 the boat was attacked by a British bomber off Fehmarn, & was eventually scuttled by the crew. By this point in history this was a typical fate of the last U-boats commissioned by the German War Navy. Many years later the infant Federal Republic of Germany had become a member of NATO, & was looking for a suitable vessel on which to base the submarines of the Federal Navy; this was when the fate of the U2540 was recalled: the boat which had lain on the bottom of the sea for 12 years. In 1957 she was raised, brought to Kiel & completely re-built. On 01.09.1960 the submarine was re-christened ´ Wilhelm Bauer´, & was commissioned into the German Federal Navy. By Spring 1980 the submarine had completed a long period of service as a training & experimental vessel, & was finally retired. Since 1984 the ´ Wilhelm Bauer´ has been an exhibit in the German Maritime Museum in Bremerhaven. The unusual history of U2540 illustrates just how advanced was the design of this U-boat type. Seldom have we received so many requests for a particular model from our dealers & model builders. The repeated appeal was for another submarine to the same scale as the U47. The robbe development team responded, & we can now offer our latest model U-boat: The Type XXI boat U2540 Just like the legendary robbe U47, this model is capable of submerged running using the dynamic method of diving. The model is almost 2 metres long, & consists
- like the U47
- of a foreship & aftership joined together by a central screwed joint. When the two parts are separated, the motors & RC equipment assembly can be withdrawn from the pressure vessel. This model also features pre-cut flooding slots to save the modeller the time-consuming task of drilling and/or machining the openings. In contrast to the U47 the forward hydroplanes are controlled by a servo, rather than mechanically by means of a paddle. As an option these forward hydroplanes can be folded in for surface running, just as on the full-size vessel. This is an imposing model which always attracts a large number of fascinated spectators.RC functions: Rudder, Forward hydroplanes, Aft hydroplanes, Motor control, Folding forward hydroplanes Specification: Length: 1915 mm
Width: 210 mm
Height: 330 mm Total displacement: 12000 g Manufacturer: Robbe Model: Robbe Submarine U2540 Typ Xxi (1-1214)

1: 40 scale dynamic-diving model of the German Federal Navy’s 212-class submarine When we decided it was time to produce a new model submarine, our development team selected the new, ultra-modern 212- class of the German Federal Navy as their prototype. The full-size boat: These subs were developed at the Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft Gmb H (HDW) dockyard in Kiel. It is the world’s first submarine type to be equipped with a hybrid fuel cell power system. Basically the boat is propelled by an electric motor. For surface running the motor is powered by a diesel generator, but when the boat is submerged, electrical current is supplied by a hydrogen fuel cell system. U 31 was the first 212 A class to be built, & the vessel was launched in March 2002; this is the basis for our model. The model: Our model of the U 31 has been developed & built using proven methods of construction & pre-fabrication, i.e. the same methods used on the U 2540. However, the diameter of the pressure vessel has been increased by 3.5cm in order to give the large hull the stiffness required. The pressure vessel is fitted with an internal multi-part CNC-machined installation frame, which houses all the essential RC & electrical system components. Just like the full-size sub, our model of the U31 features an ultra-modern power system: in this case a slow-rewing, high-torque brushless electric motor provides enormous thrust. With the kind approval & support of the Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft Gmb H (HDW) of Kiel. Specification: Length: 1430 mm
