What goes up must come down & you'll learn about that when you go abseiling in Aberfeldy! This outdoor adventure centre in Scotland is situated half way between Loch Lomond & Cairngorms national parks nestled alongside the River Tay. It's a great place to abseil with an abundance of crags & rock faces to tackle. You'll be spending two to three hours as part of a small group being taught the skill of abseiling. It's an essential part of being able to rock climb (which is a much-loved pastime in Scotland) & teaches you how to come down a rock face using ropes. A fair bit of equipment is needed for abseiling but this is all provided for you by this Scottish centre. You'll be wearing a helmet with a harness around your thighs & waist equipped with what's called a belay device which will be attached to the rope. Abseiling is a great way to de-stress unwind & escape to the great outdoors at the same time! This abseiling experience is all about feeding your fear as you lean back over the edge & drop down a 30ft (10m) high abseil tower near the Ashdown Forest East Sussex. This two hour experience is designed for you to learn the basics of abseiling under the supervision of a fully qualified instructor. Your instructor will run through a safety briefing & some abseiling techniques before it's your turn to have a go. The enthusiasm of the staff really is contagious meaning you will be sure to have an exciting & enjoyable time. On most sessions you will have at least 3-4 abseils & once confident your final abseil will conclude with a little catch

Adopt a donkey at this sanctuary in Oxfordshire & you will be helping a little donkey to lead a better life in the loving arms of this rescue centre run by a very dedicated team of animal lovers. All the donkeys staying at the sanctuary are up for adoption & they are there because they have been abused or ill-treated in the past. This registered charity works hard to save them & take them away from a life of being mistreated & neglected. Life at this working farm means the donkeys spend the rest of their days safe happy & loved
- & your adoption ensures the continuing welfare of the donkeys & will help keep the centre running. The centre is home to lots of different donkeys that are ready to be adopted including geldings & mares some of whom were born to rescued donkeys at the centre. They've all got such distinct characters too with Charlie the cheeky gelding rescued from Wales who loves pulling a small plough & hanging out with his stable mate Jack. There's the very photogenic Chocolate who has starred in TV shows & loves nothing more than to attend country fairs to help promote adopting donkeys. Then there's Mr Crusty who was rescued from a pony sale & loves a good dose of fuss & attention. & how could we forget Loppy with his big ears a rare Andalusian donkey whose adoption story has featured in the news. Unfortunately the one thing that they all have in common is that they were badly treated at some point in their lives. There are no sad stories now though as that's all in the past & these donkeys are happy & secure in their adoptive home on the farm. They even get to give special needs children rides
- which makes everyone happy. Once you've received your adopt a donkey pack all you have to do is choose the specific donkey you'd like to support & register your adoption. Then wait eagerly for the photograph & a certificate of adoption to arrive. You can also visit the donkey you have adopted at the sanctuary in Oxfordshire during normal opening hours so you can meet your adoptive donkey face to face & maybe share a carrot or two.
