The nation seems to have gone wild about meerkats lately perhaps partly due to a certain television advert that features the little creatures as comical superstars. Originating from Africa, these fascinating animals are famous for their upright stance often on high alert watching out for predators & guarding their young. If you want to get up close & personal to these amazing animals, then the Meerkat Experience For Two could be the perfect opportunity to learn more about these furry friends. This experience enables you & a friend to spend the day at a dedicated sanctuary meeting it's resident meerkats & even getting the chance to feed them. Typical Programme On arrival you will take part in a health & safety briefing before entering the meerkat enclosure. A meerkat specialist will be on hand to teach you everything you need to know about the animals whilst you have the chance to feed them with fruit & meal worms. As well as experiencing this amazing encounter with the meerkats, you will also have the opportunity to visit the rest of the Reptile & Meerkat Experience which

Includes:: 50 exhibits of snakes, lizards, turtles, amphibians & mini beasts. For an additional small fee, you can even visit the Raptor Foundation which provides rescue & rehabilitation services as well as 24 hour care for injured raptors. Duration & Group Size The experience in the Meerkat enclosure lasts 30 minutes but you can spend as much time as you'd like visiting the other exhibits & the Raptor Foundation if you wish. This experience is for two people. It will be just you, the keeper & the meerkats in the enclosure. Friends & family are welcome to come along & watch however they will have to pay a small fee to enter the sanctuary. Fitness Requirements There are no fitness requirements for this experience. We recommend that you wear trousers, enclosed footwear & clothes that you don't mind getting dirty! Minimum Age You must be 8 years old to take part in this experience.
