Nidecker launched the Megalight in 1997 & in one fell swoop it redefined snowboard design & construction, so much so that 17 years later it still stands as the board of choice for advanced free riders looking for the ultimate in high end performance. Built around a fully directional chassis it utilises the Freeride Cam Rock profile. This combines extended rocker at the nose & camber between the feet with added flat sports beyond the bindings to deliver truly staggering levels of power & control when charging the piste or the steepest powder runs. Internally the Megalight is built around the state of the art Light core. This combination of paulownia, popular & beech create a true high performance core that works perfectly with the Basalt, Carbon, Kevlar structural layers to give the Megalight one of the most responsive rides out there. To finish off, the base utilises a super hard 9000 grade sintered material infused with carbon nano particles to give a lightning fast glide no matter the conditions.
