The standard Neversummer SL is an outstanding all rounder with the versatility to hit any line you can get to by lift, helicopter or bootpack.  The addition of touring capability opens up the rest of the rideable terrain in the mountains. The SL Split has a slightly stiffer construction than its non split counterpart thanks to a carbonium topsheet.  This combats the inherent softer nature of a split board, and gives a little more control and stability on more advanced terrain. Neversummer snowboards feature rocker between the binding inserts in the centre of the board and traditional camber outboard of the inserts, before reaching the tip and tail. This is married with a triple radius sidecut, featuring a straight section of edge between the inserts, with a shallow radius in the insert area, and a deep radius in the area between the bindings and the tip/tail. These progressive and variable profiles combine to create a
freestyle ‘looseness’ to the ride at lower speeds, but as you ramp up your speed and forces, the board grips the ground like you simply wouldn’t believe, while still giving you the feedback and flexibility to pop, spin and butter until the park closes. The Neversummer Superlight Core is designed specifically for the Neversummer models that feature Carbonium topsheets and lamintaes. This allows less force to be taken by the core, enabling a lighter, more focused core design, made from extremey light woods combined with hardwood for incredible strength to weight ratio. The CDS (carbonium damping system) damping on the SL Split hugely reduces vibration, aiding high speed control and stability. The CDS incorporates elastomer stringers - essentially long thin strips of rubber like
material - along the edges and beneath the binding inserts, generating a smooth ride under foot, while retaining a lively, snappy feel. The SL Split has a topsheet made from Carbonium, a highly durable, scratch resistant, textured material that is not only fantastic for aiding in construction design, but also grips the bottom of your boots, turning the whole board into a stomp pad! The SL Split also features layers of carbon weave as the top and bottom of the laminate layer of the snowboard.  This provides outstandiung strength to weight for the board in general, and also enables fine tuning of flex and pop zones for the board.
